Hi, can anyone advise? i have made a claim to rbs for ppi on a mint card which i belive was missold. I have their response today after 8 weeks and they are refusing to pay out, the ground being staff are correctly trained etc, however, on their investigations they keep refering to my account being a loan, and my loan application, it was a credit card, is this grounds to take it further in its self? as they state it has been fully investigated when it obviously has not as they keep refering to it as a complaint for loan ppi.
any advice on what to do next would be great
thanks0 -
Hi Guys,
Barclaycard update: I posted my complain re PPI 8 weeks ago. Ihave two confirmation letters from them with the last one confirming that they hope to resolve my complaint by the 6th April. 7th April got a lettering saying that they are unable to resolve the complaint and recormend that I complain to the FOS. Disappointing, but I will get my app off in the next few days.0 -

Hi everyone,
I have been reading the post's this morning and I am shocked that the arguments have started again.
I have a friend at work who I was telling about my claim with Tesco and yesterday she told me she was going to try to reclaim her ppi from Barclaycard I gave her the address of this site and told her that there were some really good people here who could help her, as you have helped and supported myself.
For someone to come on here for the first time and read these post's I think would be shocked and possibly switch off, and not receive the help they need.
Please can we get back to helping people who are new to this and stop all this bickering. Like I said before we must all stick together otherwise the Banks etc will have won.
Please note this post is not meant at anyone in particular nor do I mean to cause offence.
Come on lets fight the banks etc not each other0 -
Hi all again,
After reading what was said to me last week and taking it all on board, I've decided to go it alone and try and get my money back myself rather than a company. With the help of the letters on this website and my manager I've just printed off this letter to send to Natwest....

Dear Sir or Madam,
Account number: XXXXXX
Loan Amount: £XXXXX (without insurance or interest)
I purchased the above policy from you in November 2007 but now believe that I was mis-sold this policy as your salesperson was very pushy in selling me the policy so that I felt I could not say no.
The sales techniques used by the sales person I spoke to I believe were both unethical and unprofessional. During the conversation I initially stated that I didn’t feel that I had a need for the additional insurance. In response the sales person asked me how I would feel ‘if I was to suffer a fatal accident in my new car (which the loan was for)leaving my mother having to repay it’. I once again stated that I didn’t want to take the insurance and in response to this was asked by the sales person if ‘I had a conscience’. I felt that I had no option other than accept the insurance as part of my loan.
Unless you can satisfactorily justify to me that the policy sold was fair and reasonable I am requesting a full refund of all premiums, and subsequent interest on these payments, that I have paid to date. As I believe I have been deprived of this money I also expect 8% statutory interest, the amount a court would award, to be added to each payment made.
I look forward to a full and prompt response to this letter and for the matter to be concluded within eight weeks or I shall be contacting the Financial Ombudsman to investigate my complaint.
So... what do you think? Do you think this letter will bring me success? :rotfl:

Thanks
I hope you don't mind me being cheeky but with both of us having similar circumstances, did your claim get approved or not?0
