Not overly sure, just looked through the paperwork again and I have actually signed to have this cover so dont think its going to matter, ticked the box and signed for it!

Hi barny i'd call the bank and ask them for the full number if this doesn't work put the number of the account you had with the bank or the account where your payments came out on your sar letter and you should find they'll trace you.

Hi, i happened to find some info on an old loan i took out for a car, unfortunately it doesn't say anything about PPI. But i suspect going off the dodgy dealing of the car place i bought it from it wouldn't surprise me if it had.
I have the agreement number, and i know how much i borrowed. Its was with the first national bank plc, which were a member of the abbey national group, which i believe is now santander.
Any suggestions on what my next step could be, if anything?
Work out the amount you borrowed and the interest and see if it matches up with the payments over the term,if it does...no ppi.If it doesnt put a claim in.0 -

Hi all,
I'm wondering if any of you could offer a little bit of advice please.
My OH was talked into claiming his PPI back using a company two months ago, they have looked at our mortgage and rang today and said we could get money back, after several phone calls today we have been told we have a good chance. However need to pay £550 for them to process, if nothing comes of it then we get the £550 back, however if we do they keep £150 of the £550. I could definitely do with some PPI back to pay off our debts but do I pay the £550 for the greater amount or not?
I know company's are not the best but he's a stubborn thing and won't listen to me trying to do it the way Martin would like, trust me I've tried, MEN :-0
surely they'd just take the £150 out of the money they get if they win, there would be no way i'd be paying £550 up front0 -

I submitted a Claim to lloyds for misold loan insurance back in May of last year. In August i received a letter to say my claim had been accepted and I would be paid. Despited hundreds of phone calls, ive still not received any money or other letters! I ring them at least four times a week for them to say its still been calculated by the payments team, we've escalated it to our team manager etc to again hear nothing. I dont know what else to do, i've been waiting 5 months for a calculation. I know im not the only one but 5 months is a bit extreme I think. Any advice anyone?
Thank You,

Hello, after having had success with two claims with RBS we have come up with a request for additional information for a claim against Bank of Scotland. They are saying that they no longer have records for the loan and have asked us to obtain proof of payments via direct debit, as the loan dates back some time is this something that we are likely to be able get and has anyone else come up against anything simular.
Many thanks0 -

Had a phone call from one of the executive assistants who says they have my case on their desk (yay its made a desk after 4 years!) and that they are going to look it over and have an answer for me 'soon'. Obviously, I expect an answer within the next 4 years....0 -
Thanks everyone, I'm going to ring the Claims management tomorrow and ask them for more information etc and speak to the company myself, I think i've made my mind up about not paying it and try doing it myself. Thanks for all your commentsI will stop spending on things I don't need
