Hi, i happened to find some info on an old loan i took out for a car, unfortunately it doesn't say anything about PPI. But i suspect going off the dodgy dealing of the car place i bought it from it wouldn't surprise me if it had.
I have the agreement number, and i know how much i borrowed. Its was with the first national bank plc, which were a member of the abbey national group, which i believe is now santander.
Any suggestions on what my next step could be, if anything?0 -
Hi all, just posting to see if any of you know the number to contact northern rock to get an update on when refund will be put in bank . Thanks.0

Hello, after having had success with two claims with RBS we have come up with a request for additional information for a claim against Bank of Scotland. They are saying that they no longer have records for the loan and have asked us to obtain proof of payments via direct debit, as the loan dates back some time is this something that we are likely to be able get and has anyone else come up against anything simular.
Many thanks0 -
Right, so an update after sending my letter of complaint in to the FOS.
Had a phone call from one of the executive assistants who says they have my case on their desk (yay its made a desk after 4 years!) and that they are going to look it over and have an answer for me 'soon'. Obviously, I expect an answer within the next 4 years....0 -
Hi all,
I'm wondering if any of you could offer a little bit of advice please.
My OH was talked into claiming his PPI back using a company two months ago, they have looked at our mortgage and rang today and said we could get money back, after several phone calls today we have been told we have a good chance. However need to pay £550 for them to process, if nothing comes of it then we get the £550 back, however if we do they keep £150 of the £550. I could definitely do with some PPI back to pay off our debts but do I pay the £550 for the greater amount or not?
I know company's are not the best but he's a stubborn thing and won't listen to me trying to do it the way Martin would like, trust me I've tried, MEN :-0I will stop spending on things I don't need
Lloyds TSB CC - £3577/£3650, HSBC CC - £2425/£2621, VIRGIN CC - £5349/£5405, BARCLAY'S CC - £3700, HALIFAX - £109/£199
Pay off all your debt by Christmas 2012 - number #145 £608.00/£15,3130 -

Mortgage ppi is different to loan ppi in the way some is sold, post your question here
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=187
Put what mortgage it is etc and if the guys on there tell you that you have a case, then go for it.This company may know you dont have a case ,did you give them the details of this mortgage?,if not they have none of your details, this they should not do !.but they get to keep the £150 anyway, you could find out you lose with this.
If you have been mis sold, send a letter to the bank with the reasons for mis sell and sit back and wait.
Cost to you? walk to the post office and a stamp (ask for proof of delivery).
A company will only do what i said above and take a hefty % of any win.
Do it yourself, then you have lost nothing but may gain.
I dont believe they should ask for money up front, ring these http://www.justice.gov.uk/global/contacts/claims-management-regulation/index.htm and cmplain about this company.
Here are reasons for mis sell

He is picking up a copy of the Phone Sale agreement on Wed and I have told him to ask about any Record on disc of this Sales Call, as you suggested.
I have also found I needed Transactions back to Feb 07 instead of July 08 so have told him to say I made a mistake on request and to ask for the extra - Told him that if they tried to charge another £5 to tell them No it was part of original Request, so no charge. or I will challange
I suspected it would have been last pay slip and as you said they were short changing - I also found out this evening that his last pay was £190 p.wk so Boy are they short changing - also that when he went in to tell them he was made Redundant and to cancel all D/D to pay manually etc and thought Insurance was also cancelled after being told 'Dont qualify '
He also asked the 'Suit ' dealing if he could get some money on this as now Redundant and Redundancy money takes 6 weeks so no money at all to live on - was told that 'Didnt qualify'0 -
Only have limited info re Credit Card/Loan accounts
I have only got the last four digits of my historical credit cards/loans, obtained from Experian/Credit Expert. Will this be enough to put on my SAR letter?0
