thanks for the advice.
I rang them on 19 December (they never bother sending me a letter these days, and haven't for 2 years so I ring them every month) and am now following their complaint procedure. No one gives you a straight answer "waiting for an ombudsman decision" apparently means "sitting on a desk waiting for the mythical creature known as the ombudsman to come near it"
I can see why people go to the ambulance chasers. I'm at the verge of telling them to stick it. Politely of course.

Hi Stunty
Your very welcome.
I do think that is a very long time, so wondering if it maybe worth you contacting the main one of the business of the FOS, personally I would put it into writing and tell her how long its been and your aware of other cases being resolved way before almost 4 years.
I would also be requesting for further redress for the distress and inconvenience caused as well.
Write to the same address as you would when you make a complaint.
Hopefully a letter will push if for you, or maybe if you could contact your local MP who may write on your behalf.

lol, she's next on my list. (and my MP who has a surgery this week) Their complaints form states you can complain if their service has 'unduly delayed' your complaint, so I think I count!
Couldn't remember her name ^^ tho ta! lol.
got a nice 4 page letter for her, I'll send it Special Delivery tomorrow i think.

Hi I'm totally new to all the forum stuff so hope I'm in the right place!
I was sold protection insurance from TSB back in 1996 against an £11,905 loan against the mortgage which was to run for 17 years (expiring 2013) and the monthly premium was £6.00 (tiny amount I know lol) anyway I continued paying this right up until March 2010 when I cancelled it on the advice of a Financial Advisor. I have worked out that I paid in £1002.00 and I'm just wondering with it being a small amount if anyone thinks I might get anything back ... by the way I still have the original paperwork.
Many thanks0 -

Hi and welcome
Yes of course, if you were mis sold you have every right to make a reclaim and happy to hear you still have the original paperwork.
However, I think you will receive even more back than you stated, because there is interest to add as well, which will certainly add up.
I am not the one for calculations as such but sure one of the helpful folks will be able to work this out for you if required, but you do not need to give the bank a figure when you make a complaint/reclaim.
I would enclose "Copies only" of the paperwork with the complaint form which you will find also directly on the lloyds website, which is the same form as on this site.
Also details of where to send your complaint included on the lloyds website, remember to keep a copy and post by recorded delivery, good luck.

Hi
I'm sorry to bother you all but i was after a little advice if possible.
I am going to be sending off the SAR letter to HSBC asking for details for my mums account. She has been with them for many years and has had many loans and a credit card with them.
I was wondering if i just asked for details on her bank account only (as she hasn't changed names and has always had this account) would they send details of the loans that she has had and credit card. As my mum has no details of any loans etc but remembers paying ppi.
Any advice would be helpful before sending off the letter with the £10.
Thanks:)0
