They would form part of the "chain" if ppi was carried over ,it may be that ppi was not on those 2 loans, and therefore dont form part of the claim, was the 5th loan taken and repaid loan 4 off? if this was the case, then they they may have included this in the redress,if it was taken out after the 4th loan was settled, then maybe not..
Ask them for proof of no ppi if you think ppi was on there.

Happy new year to you too.

    Thank you for replying

Yes the 5th loan did pay off the 4th loan and the 6th paid of the 5th which will be done and dusted in 2 years. These did not have ppi attached to those but would have paid off some in loan 5 I think..... I have asked for them to send the calculations as they have just put refund of PPI and associated interest plus the 8%. No actual dates or figures except what the redress is.

    Many thanks again

    Hi everybody
im after some advice if anyone can help, i made two claims against HSBC around 2 years ago. one for credit card ppi and one for loan ppi. at the time all the banks were still waiting for the court ruling. HSBC rejected both my claims so i took it to the ombudsmen. The ombudsmen also rejected both my claims (which really surprised me as i genuinly had know idea about ppi when i took them out ) .
I was just wondering if now the banks have been to court i could retry the claim process, or can you only attempt the process once ?

Cappo is right, start all over again. 2 years ago the banks were playing little gods with people, it is only since the high exposure and they losing the court case that everything has changed, this time it is in YOUR FAVOUR.
What was not seen 2 years ago, was that ALL THE BANKS committed fraud against you AND THOUSANDS of others ... under the fraud act 2006

    SEE THE CHECK LIST BELOW

*Did YOUR BANK explain the full cost of the PPI when you took out the loan?
*Did you specifically ask YOUR BANK for PPI?
*Did YOUR BANK make clear that PPI was optional?
*Did YOUR BANK ask you about your medical history?
*Did YOUR BANK ask you about any existing payment cover?
*Did you know that YOUR BANK added a PPI policy to your loan?
*Do you think YOUR BANK treated you fairly?
*Did YOUR BANK ask if you have any existing medical conditions?
*Did YOUR BANK ask if you were entitled to sick pay from your employer?

If you answered no to any one of the above you could be owed thousands of pounds

Do not be afraid to accuse the banks of fraud ..... that is what they did and they know it.

During 2012, one of these "mickey mouse" outfits will be in court to answer the charge of fraud .... watch this space

    Happy New year to everyone

Rest assured in 2012 we will bring one of these fraudulent banks to justice, thereafter .... they will all end up in court

    FRAUD ON A MASSIVE SCALE
  • I recently submitted a PPI claim against the Halifax but via a PPI claim company, I have now had a first contact and offer from the Halifax for a fee which isnt unreasonable, but the PPI company will want their 30%

What action would you recommend as i would be interested in accepting the banks first offer or are they just trying to avoid paying more via this PPI claim company?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Paul

Hi badmonkey and happy new year, i'm sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but if you've signed a contract with the cmc which you almost certainly will have done you will have to pay the cmc's fee.
  • Thanks for your reply

yes i thought that would be the case, so if i get in contact with the cmc and let them know what i have been offered i presume they will claim they can get me more....??

Hi paul they should be sorting it all out for you, i still have one last case 2 years old with a cmc who i engaged before i realised i could do it myself, and most not all but most claims companies are a waste of time, it is sometimes done that the bank will make the offer and payment directly to you so then if you have signed up with a cmc you will have to let them have the figure check your paperwork and make sure that you have indeed signed a contract with them.
  • Reading the letter it seems the bank are going to pay me the amount unless i call them to decline the offer, so if thats the case then the cmc will contact me to get their share i suppose....
its Investor compensation aka PPI claimback who i am using

As Cappo said, if you have an agreement with a CMC, you will have to pay them .....they are leeches DID YOU SIGN AN AGREEMENT
  • I am aware they will take a cut, 30% and i did sign agreement yes, but the amount the bank are offering is a lot more than i expected anyway so am happy to accept it, but am just curious as to how much the cmc think they will get as they say not to settle with the back as they will offer less.....
