PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi All,
My first ever post.
I have had this MBNA card for years... 7+.
I have had balances on it on and off for and the card is still active with a balance outstanding.
I am paying PPI which I did not know I had when I first got the card offered to me in the highstreet all those years ago.
I am trying to understand how to get the ball rolling, but am finding the info a bit hard to follow.
I assume that I write to MBNA ?
I do not know the Policy Number for the PPI ? How do I find this
Do I use the 'get the T&C letter first' ? or
Do I go straight for the Questionnaire ?
I apologise for seeming stupid but I feel I have genuine claim and would like to share my experience successful or not with the site.
Kind Regards in Advance.0 -
Hi
I was wondering if anyone has sent off a SAR letter to either Natwest or HSBC lately?
Is the customer services address ok to send these to with the cheque or has anyone come across a specific address to send these?
Also who would i make the £10 cheque payable to?
Thanks0 -

I found just a letter headed with my reference credit card number and reason ie I was sold the PPI etc. See template letter on this site.
They answered within a month and to my surprise enclosed a cheque for 3,000 obviously I banked this cheque , there was no breakdown and I have now written to them asking for a breakdown no answer yet.
Other people have just rang them and did not need to write and were told very soon that their claim was upheld followed by quick payment.
I would say to anyone who feel they were disadvantaged by these payment protection policies , to claim it is money that you are entitled to.
Good luckLight travels faster than sound.

Hi all hope everyone had lovely christmas.
Please can someone help
Had some more success with loans and RBS have said they investigated and found it was a chain of consolidating loans of 4. Thats great.
I rang them yesterday to ask about the 2 loans taken after the 4 ppi ones as they had also consolidated the previos loan its just the last 2 we realised we didn't need PPI on but they still form part of the chain don't they??? or am I totally wrong.
The RBS helpline told me they don't as the last 2 didn't have PPI on them.
Any help very much appreciated.

Yes you send it to MBNA they may do the claim over the phone,or fill the questionnaire in and post it.
Look here for reasons for mis sell and if any/all apply to you,put a claim in.

Happy new year to all.
Ask them for proof of no ppi if you think ppi was on there.
Happy new year to you too.0 -
Hi everybody
im after some advice if anyone can help, i made two claims against HSBC around 2 years ago. one for credit card ppi and one for loan ppi. at the time all the banks were still waiting for the court ruling. HSBC rejected both my claims so i took it to the ombudsmen. The ombudsmen also rejected both my claims (which really surprised me as i genuinly had know idea about ppi when i took them out ) .
I was just wondering if now the banks have been to court i could retry the claim process, or can you only attempt the process once ?37,000 starts today0 -
