Good for you jeannie i think your right to be suspicious as i said in my earlier reply to you, i had two credit cards and two loans originally, they told me i had no ppi on any of them which i knew was rubbish as i always covered myself with the nature of my work (i was self employed at the time) did'nt realise i could'nt claim of course anyway i've got them to admit to ppi on 2 loans (took me 6 months of tooing and frowing though) i got so sick and tired of there lies i fossed the credit cards.

Interestingly, I wrote to them about 3 weeks ago asking for the agreement for the card, they sent me the agreement to a loan, that tells me they are trying to pull a fast one!! especially as the letter I wrote, clearly stated the account number and the original complaint reference, so in true traditional christmas spirit I have written to them letting them know that I will not accept that the card had no PPI and included a copy of my letter that i sent to them 3 weeks ago, along with the copy of the agreement that they sent. o yea, also made a suggestion that they take a little more time reading what is being asked for that way it will cost them less when they do have to pay me:rotfl:
IF HIND SIGHT WAS FORESIGHT WOULD I STILL NEED TO GO TO THE OPTICIANS???

Hi jeannie, good luck i sent them a sar request and asked there credit card department specifically for copys of the credit card statements and agreement to no avail, they would'nt send it to me that's why in the end i fossed it, like yourself i knew i had the ppi on the cards going back to 92 and 95 this bank like the rest of them now are honourless.
  • Does anyone know whats happening with Lloyds email addresses?? I have been emailing various contacts at Lloyds to chase up PPI claims and always get a response but today when I tried to email 5 different people they all bounced back with the comment "invalid email address"......can anyone shed some light on this please?

    Thanks
  • Hi, can anyone help me? I put in a claim for PPI with LLoyds in August. By November I hadnt heard anything and eventually got through to them to be told duplicate offer letters would be sent. I received them dated 25th nov with offers on 9 loans with a promise that the amounts owed would be paid into our account by 23rd December. Interest had been calculated up to that date. I still havent had the payments and judging by what has been written on here am not likely to for a while. However, am I entitled to interest on the payment due from 23rd Dec until the date it is paid and of so, what rate per day? Lloyds have tried to tell me that whilst I might get some more interest it will only be on working days not actual days. Is this right?
  • I'm still waiting for the FOS to deal with my claim. It's been with them since Feb 2008.... so I'm worried that even if the FOS actually bother to look at my claim, I'm going to lose most of it as it went back to 2004 when I STARTED claiming. It's well out of the 6 year time period they'll claim they've kept records for, even though I have copies of all the statements back to 2000....

    Hi there

I seem to think it maybe because they put a temp block on them over the holiday period, and also due to previous outstanding backlogs.
I would though try again tomorrow, good luck.;)

    Hi there

That is a very long time.

When was the last time you actually heard from the FOS?

I would give them a ring direct and tell them of your concerns, although it's no fault of yours, so its a high possibility it will go back as far as when you taken out the account, and many have still been successful going back even earlier years.
    Fingers crossed.:)

    Hi all,
i put in a complaint to Lloyds late october for two credit cards that I had some 10yrs ago, I know that i would have been paying for PPI but had no proof. All I had was the last 4 digits from my credit report. They wrote back saying I had PPI on one but not on the other (am disputing this) Anyway, today I received a letter from Lloyds dated 23rd Dec, stating they will pay me £538!! Based on the fact they have no statements etc. Am very happy with this as the balance was only ever a few hundred pounds.
however, am now very excited as at the same time I asked them to look at all the loans I had with them, letter came back with 5 account numbers for loans......so assuming that they have paid out on the credit card then they will pay out on the others, trouble is I can't remember any of the loan amounts other than one that was for 7500 around 2000 and another that was early 90's with my then partner for 15 grand. fingers crossed I may be lucky!!!!!
    ONE DOWN FIVE TO GO........
    Well done on your success!
And all the very best on the other 5.;)

  • Hi Di,

    thanks for the advice.

I rang them on 19 December (they never bother sending me a letter these days, and haven't for 2 years so I ring them every month) and am now following their complaint procedure. No one gives you a straight answer "waiting for an ombudsman decision" apparently means "sitting on a desk waiting for the mythical creature known as the ombudsman to come near it"

I can see why people go to the ambulance chasers. I'm at the verge of telling them to stick it. Politely of course.

    Stunty
