Hi lisa correct me if i'm wrong guys but as far as i know if your in a temporary job you cannot claim on a ppi policy (generally) so i would fos this now lisa as i don't think they'll change there minds by the sound of it
Think you are correct cappo, my policy states "we will not pay benefits if working on a temporary basis" one of the many cop out clauses
Most policies I believe contain this exclusionSuccesses

Some banks are rejecting everything now lisa, fos it you'll be ok as dilus says you would'nt have been able to claim on the policy anyway unfortunately, so the policy in my opinion was misold to you as the employment part of the ppi is a big part of it.0 -
Hi Keewee,
If the policy was cancelled in 2009, then you are owed from the start in
2005 to the finish in 2009.
If you settled with the debt collector, then Barclays owe you the money.
Debt collectors will buy a debt at say 50% off. BUT that is the debt, you see the PPI is in your name and is not transferable to a third party without your permission. As it is in your name, you must receive the payment and if need be, sort it out with the debt collector.
Most debt collectors have been burned badly as they happily bought debts which were fraudulent and they termed this as "buying the intellectual rights" ??? This means that as they claim they are the owner, you have the right to claim against them for fraud.
GET THE PICTURE ..... I bet debt collectors ask questions first now before they buy debts from banks, first question must be, "is there a PPI attached.
I had this with Capital One and I sent the debt collector concerned a letter saying " As you have bought the rights, without my permission, I now charge you with fraud and require all PPI payments repaid by you"
That was a year ago, never heard from them since. OH YES, I also told them if they were stupid enough to buy the fraudulent debt, on their own head be it
So, with Barclays you need to hit the CEO of Barclays hard, dont be afraid to use the word fraud, they already know they are fraudulent

Hi,
Not sure if this has been covered before but my partner had a santander credit card which has since been passed to a debt collection company whick we are now paying £50 per month. Do we make the ppi claim to Santander or the debt company.
Again sorry if this has been dealt before.0 -
Good Evening, just asking for a little help here, I have started the process from Martins reclaim guide for my girlfriend.
We sent of asking for 3 copies of T&C's for loans she's had/has from Barclays over the last however many years. We sent the letter that Martin provides and sent a check too.
We got back from Barclays 2 letters saying
"Thank you for your request for a copy of a credit agreement and financial statement. Our systems show that there is no sum payable under the credit agreement and therefore there is no requirement for us to comply with your request"
Now two of these loans have been cleared but one is current and being paid. The two letters back I believe relate to the two accounts that have been cleared, We had to ask for the T&C's with only the dates of the loans as she has no previous paper work and we got the dates for the accounts form Experian and one letter has no account number with it and the other letter has one that we do not recognise!
Could someone advise as to what they are talking about?
I think I now need to send of asking for an account break down and pay the two £10 payments for each one and then wait for the T&C's of the current loan to come through.
The sentence i find confusing is the "Our systems show that there is no sum payable under the credit agreement" if I have got the l second letter wrong and it does relate to the current loan would i be within my rights to argue that i owe them nothing and i have it in writing??0 -

Hi Everyone,
Looking for a bit of advice. I have undertaken a PPI claim on behalf of my mum for a Monsoon store card she took out.
She has received a letter back from Santander which states: 'This matter has been investigated in full and we issued our final response to investor compensation'.
Please could anyone help me with what this means and how I should proceed.
Kind Regards0 -

Investor Compensation are a claims company, are you sure your mother had not already employed their services as it seems they have lodged your mothers complaint and Santander have responded to themSuccesses
