PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Write back and ask them to provide you with the evidence of the phone call, state they must still hold these details to have come to this decision to reject and you will appreciate they send you a copy of any evidence in concrete of the phone call that proves what they say.
Anyway, back then many assumed it was all part of the package because not being told it was optional in the first place, then assumed if to cancel that the full balance was to be repaid in full.
Again because the staff that sold it to you failed to explain the policy and how it worked, and yet if explained to you that it was optional you would not have taken it out, and if known it was optional at the time.
Tell them the sales staff failed in providing you with a clear explanation of the policy and it was their duty to do so and certainly not yours.
Hope that helps, ask they reconsider by 14 days and if they do not change the decision go to the FOS and the same if nothing heard by then.
Just keep on at them, good luck. x:)
Just sent them an email along these lines, I'll let you know what they say thanks againMBNA Upheld £20,663.63 2/11/11, cheque recieved 25/11/11 :j
Capital One Upheld 11/11/11 £2793.21 cheque recieved 2/12/11 :j

Cannot find anything on it, difficult to think that the FOS will be turning claims down, if so, it would be complete betrayal by the government and a mega vote loser0 -

Would like to share my success in reclaiming PPI from a Halifax Loan.
Rang the Halifax 12.09.11 asking for copy of loan agreement. 15.09.11 received copy of loan agreement showing PPI of £1475. 16.09.11 rang Halifax to advise I believed this had been misold as I did not have a signed copy of the agreement. Was advised they would look in to my claim & that they had 12 weeks from 16.09.11 to reply which would give them until 02.12.11.
09.11.11 rang to progress claim. Was reminded that they had until 02.12.11 to reply. 16.11.11 letter received advising they were prepared to offer me £2308 (result!!!) & that I did not have to contact them as they would issue a cheque automatically if they did not hear from me. I decided to ring them anyway to accept. The automated message that plays while you are holding advises that cheques can take up to 30 days to be issued. Spoke to the Halifax advisor who would not commit to a time scale as to when I would receive the cheque. They will not pay via BACS even if you are a Halifax customer (??)
17.11.11 Received my cheque!!!!!!
I made 2 phone calls to get this money back. If you believe you are owed money back make the call now!!!!

Virgin Money to buy Northern Rock for £747m

Richard Branson has always been a rebel in the eyes of the government so it is a surprise that this has happened.
He could ..... give the high street banks a run for their money which will be a good thing. I only hope Branson installs a good CEO to run this and does not consider the likes of Osorio, Hester or Diamond.
My only concern is that Branson was on TV a few years back talking about his empire and he said "there are times when we dont know how we will pay the bills"
Also let us hope if he offers his own credit card, it will not be via MBNA with fraudulent PPI's, THAT IS OF COURSE if anyone would ever buy a PPI in future0 -
Now I'm confused.
Just had my statement from Halifax about my CC. I am now £1000 in CREDIT! I phoned them and they aid "oh sorry about that, we have miss keyed the amount for your PPI by £1000...."
Now its their mistake, should I demand every penny back... or let them have it back?
Help me....0 -
