Hi
Anyone had any success with getting their money back from Halifax? 8 weeks and many phone/calls letters after accepting their offer, I still don't have my money! Now 21 weeks after the initial complaint and still no further forward - keep getting told "they are working in a stict date order" - but no-one can tell you what date they are working on! Really fed up now - and still approx £5K out of pocket!0 -

OMG (Oh my God)
Halifax, Lloyds Bank, CEO Antonio Osorio now on sick leave due to stress !!!
Give these idiots 7 days to send you a check, or you will issue a County Court Summons which will cost about £25. Interest to be added, and as they will not turn up, you will win by default .... it will not go that far.
Halifax/Lloyds are in VERY SERIOUS trouble0 -
Hi annie should only be 28 days although the banks vary time wise, i'd contact them and ask where the payment is.
Sorry for my late reply...
I did call them and before you can actually speak to someone there's an automated message saying "If you call to find out about the payout then we unfortunately can't give you an exact time" or something similar. I did speak to a (actually very friendly) lady who then told me that it might take about 4 - 6 weeks for the payment.
This is the fourths or fifth week now and there's still no sign of my money from Barclays. No letter, nothing...
Anyone else still waiting?0 -
Might just do that - thanks for the advice!
Found a great website that gives you contact details for company CEO's - so have just fired off an email to Mr Osorio - didn't realise he was on sick leave - will be interesting to see if I receive a reply!0 -

I am new to this PPI claim and would very much appreciate some advice please. Both my husband and I are retired and over the past 30 odd years we have had a mortgage (due to finish next year), loan and a few credit cards.
These past few weeks we have been receiving calls from various companies stating that we could be due for compensation for being charged on loans, credit cards and mortgage. Today we received another call from someone called Matthew on 01792761040 asking details of our finances. As I was a bit sceptical, I asked a few questions, and the replies I got seemed a bit vague; like he got my details from a database. However, he did stress the fact that they are a government organisation and part of the Ministry of Justice!! When asked how I could verify who he was he said they have a website but he would not give me the website address so I can check it out in my own time but said if I could get on a computer now he would guide me through it as the website is so huge. That got me a bit suspicious so I asked him to call back in an hour, he said he had a dental appointment and would call back tomorrow. The first thing that started alarm bells ringing is that he called me by my middle name (which only family and friends do) and all my official papers are in my first name. I directly Googled it and unfortunately came up with confusing reviews.
I was just wondering if anyone have had calls from them and whether they are genuine. Thank you.
It does make me wonder tho where they get all these details from.0 -
Hey Steph
"Beamerguy, I think I love you!!!!"
Careful girl, you don't even know me xx, not a lot of people know that !
Joking apart Steph, my hearty congratulations and £7,022.00 is a lot of money so very well done.
Yes the old phrase "without any admission of liability" does not really mean much, they just think they are covering themselves, fact is they have admitted they sold you a rubbish policy and you are getting your money back.
NO, it will not be a fight to get your money, you now have the letter.
Ask them, when will they be sending the cheque, pressure still on
I'm sure everyone here will offer their sincere congratulations and let's make sure you get it before Xmas
Well done
I've printed & signed the letter & gonna send it recorded delivery tomorrow. Again, I'll let you know how I get on!!
Seriously though, I couldn't have done any of this without the help & advice from this website - so glad I did it myself & didn't go for one of those companies who take their cut!! If I can do this, anyone can!!
Thanks again!!!0 -

Hmmm, you will get a reply from someone, but doubt if Osorio will ever be seen on the banking scene again.
Suggestions now being made that is just a PR trick, in reality, Osorio has gone, sacked, terminated.
After all, Lloyds is 43% owned by government0 -

Think you could be right beamerguy, maybe me sending your excellent letter to my local MP and the FSA could have caused his downfall, I'd like to think so
No wonder no one has been getting replies from him :mad:Successes
Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid
MBNA £3,600 Paid0 -
Thanks Amersall, I will try and word a letter this week. I am just worried that they might turn round and say in that case the whole loan needs to be paid off or my monthly bill will increase. How much do you think I will be able to claim back?
Thanks
