Told me that with the evidence I have provided she didnt see any reason for them not to refund me but as its still needs signed off by her manager then she cant say a refund for defo......is this the light at the end of the tunnel????

hi max first plus dont do goodwill gestures this way they will make the money back from the ppi still remaining, after the policy has been cancelled you still pay a monthly premium for the ppi they have not given you back that is the remaining 22% i am fighting them with this as i am going to end up paying over 20,000 ppi that i have not got a policy for!! i am not alone in this either others are doing the same i hate this company with a vengeance:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: and more:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:LOL

    Hi Amersall

I do quite agree with what you are saying I am aware of what first plus are like. Not that I have had a loan with them but I know others on here have been led down paths up alleyways and got nowhere with them as they lie and keep moving the goal posts. Sending people from insurer to broker to agent to lender etc etc:eek:

My point was just that sometimes if people are really desperate for the money and need it immediately then a "goodwill gesture" can be heaven sent if you see what I mean. Sometimes a small amount in the pocket can stave off the baliffs.

I hope a class action can be made against FP that would be wonderful for all the borrowers who have been well and truly duped.(only word that I can say that does not come out like !!!?????&&&^%$£££:D )

  • Hi everyone

    This is my first post.

I was mis-sold PPI by Abbey and although the loan started in 2001, I think it ended in Jan 2005. Unfortunately, I have not kept any paperwork relating to the loan and I am therefore in the process of writing to Abbey to ask for a copy of said paperwork.

Can anyone advise me on the best address to send my correspondence to please?

    Hiya hun.:A

In my own personal opinion I would fight for it all hun, if they don't higher the amount then move on to the FOS - but its your choice hunni, good luck. XX

hi max thanks for that yes i take the point your making i wasnt cricising hope it didnt come across as that:o, there is a forum firstpluscomplaints.co.uk where angry first plus customers are all going down the right road with fp, we are so p****d with this company, i would recommend any one who has a goodwill gesture to go for mis selling the fos have been inundated with complaints with fp and they are taking a very tough stance now and finding this front loaded ppi is a total rip off and mis sold by fp and are treating customers very unfairly, if your upheld by fos then the ppi has totally gone and the loan reinstated , the enchanced rebate is not an offer of cash back but a token gesture! you have the policy cancelled but you still have to pay the remaining 22% back over the loan term which in my case is over 20.000!! and that is ppi i am paying for that i dont even have a policy for, this is another scam by this company, i would suggest people dont be fobbed off by this company as there have been a number of wins on this issue and people have been paid moneys owed to them and i dont want people to think they have this great offer which does not mean zippo.this way its cash in the bank. i just want people to get back what they rightfully deserve and i think its ace when people get one over on fp( if i am sucessful i will be shouting it from the roof tops lol )

    Hi there and welcome.;)

Hopefully they may still send you a copy if you request this even though the 6 years have passed, so fingers crossed.

If they do not supply the agreement to you because of those reasons, maybe its still worth your while trying to still reclaim if you were mis sold this anyway, give it a go.

Back to the agreement, write to them to ask for a copy, enclose a cover payment of £1 postal order or cheque payment, they should supply this to you by 12 days of request. Good luck.

    Please yell for any help.;)
