Do they have to pay the interest from the day they started the PPI until now or just for the period that I actually had the cards? I cancelled the cards around 2003.
Hi there
Good one. :T
Now I assumed it would be as from the start of the PPI.......to the date of cancellation, I'm sure someone will clarify this if I'm wrong.;)
Well done hunni. :T

TURBO - I understand you're the expert
- I have looked at some of your previous posts and understand that you need the following information from me. Please could you work out how much I should have been refunded including the 8% statutory interest and explain how the 8% is worked out please? Thanks for your help.
1)-Date of agreement and Number of Months of Loan Agreement dated 1st December 2003
2)-Date of first payment 26.01.04
3)-Amount of Cash Advance Loan / Monthly Pymt at outset / % at outset Amount of Cash Advance £5200 Total Charge for Credit £2505.20 APR 17.9% Monthly payments of £128.42
4)-Amount of PPI Loan / Monthly Payment at outset/ Premium Loan £1238.30 Total Charge for Credit £595.90 Monthly Repayment £30.57
5)-Total Loan Amount (not incl interest)/ Total Mthly Pymnt (as a crosscheck of above 2 to be sure) at outset Total Loan Amount 5200 plus 1238.30 Premium Loan
6)-Number of payments made so far
7)-
8)-Exact figures & wording from your received settlement letter and dates thereof letter dated 13th March 2009 stating "I am therefore prepared to offer a full refund of the PPI Premium and the Interest incurred on the Premium Loan. To achieve this it will be necessary to refund the original premium of £1238.30, less the early settlement refund of £795.68 which you have already received to your Loan account on 2 December 2004, plus interest of £195.60 which you paid on the Premum Loan. This gives a total refund of £638.22 which will be credited to your current account."
9)-Present Monthly Total Payment + % loan has been repaid on 2nd December 2004
10)-any history you have of Interest Rate Changes in form of a list--- none

Hi hun
I remember going through that stage and not to worry.
Basically they want to know how you want this put right as it says, so you tell them you want to be put back in the position as if this product was not taken out, where you want the full amount refunded and interest, plus 8% interest of what a court would award, even though I think the FOS "may" include that anyway, but there is no harm in writing this down.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

lol, bless you too hun, you answered that perfectly. Well done.:T :T.
Oh and do not worry when it comes to yours if you did leave out the request of the 8%, they should include this as well, but there is no harm in letting them know its something you were to add, they should make a note of it for you.;) :Athank you too.:A
