    Debt-free and Proud!
    Evening everyone,
I'm after a bit of advice, I've been trying to reclaim PPI from CSL (furniture), had the final response letters, been to the FOS, got a reply that they aren't regulated, can anyone point me in the direction of who I can turn to now, I thought that to sell any insurance products, these places had to be regulated?

    Thanks in advance

    Hiya Sparky

How annoying for you........ , sorry to hear of this news, but just a thought was it CSL that arranged this for you?

I would say try to call the FLA (Financial leasing association) as another option, some have luck with these and some do not depending if the company are listed with them or not, but its another direction to try if you want to, give them a ring just to see what they have to say here hun:
    http://www.fla.org.uk/fla/contact/index.jsp

There are companies that can help you through this,(free services) but do not go for the ones who charge upfront etc, I'm sure you may receive some posts, with some other suggestions good luck hun.;)

    Please keep us posted. X

    Hi there

    Good one. :T

Now I assumed it would be as from the start of the PPI.......to the date of cancellation, I'm sure someone will clarify this if I'm wrong.;)
    Well done hunni. :T

Thanks Di, I wondered that but really they have deprived me of the money until now due to their misselling (although they have not admitted that). The exact wording on FOS's letter is ......Pay interest at 8% per year simple to cover interest charges that may have been applied during the term of cover. I'll check with Fos tomorrow to see what they say.

  • Hi,

Natwest/RBS have recently sent me an offer of a goodwill gesture of £550.35 from a credit card i had with them for approx 6 years. At the height the balance was over £3000.

Should i accept this or am i selling myself short and whats this about 8% interest?

    Cheers Phill
