they seem to be bucking out of everything. its taken almost a year t get them to send what they say is my daughtrs signed agreement with them, where she agreed to the PPI, and its a standard agreement-type thing, with nothing filled in on it. no name, address, account number, nothing. not even some boxes ticked. so she clearly didnt agree to the insurance at all, but they said whether she did or didnt doensnt matter because they werent regulated. sounds like they are a law unto themselves.

redcats said that they werent regulated when the insurance came into force; whether that will affect later nsurance payments, i dont know. would be interested to know because we have all the satements for the last six years.

Blimey....... have you taken this matter further?
Its a complaint already even if if this was not PPI related.

So in other words they are saying "tough, you can't do anything about it anyway"?
There are other ways these can be dealt with I'm sure.;) X

This Is Too All Who Cant Use The Fos.
Do Not Try Useing The Fla, They Are Totally Onesided To Thier Members ( The Companies Your Claiming Off) It Is Another Stall Tactic Used, With The Companies Knowing The Fla Are Going Too Delay & Put You Off Claiming.
Find A Solicitor Too Claim For You, Ask On Here For Advice Or Find Yourself One, Do Not Be Misled Too The Fla.

Hi all i m hoping someone brainy can help here and quick if possible.Had our letter from norton stating how much we are going to get from our mis-selling of PPi claim after the FO went in our favour.
    The letter reads
The amount of redress is as follows:
    Payment Protection insurance premium
    £14947.50 (this sum is right)
Interest paid up to date of settlement
    £524.91
8% interest as per financial ombudsman
    £925.47
Refund of 3 ppi payments made
    £442.38
    ________________
    £16840.26
    Less rebate from First Plus
    £5084.19
    ________________
    £11756.07
I thought it was 8% per annun and also the 8% interest does nt add up to any total on this page.My maths is good but i m sure its around £1500 light.

Post up info & I'll have a look

1)-Date of agreement and Number of Months of Loan
    2)-Date of first payment

3)-Amount of Cash Advance Loan / Monthly Pymt at outset / % at outset
4)-Amount of PPI Loan / Monthly Payment at outset/

6)-Number of payments made so far
7)-Number of Payments made before refund of PPI
8)-Exact figures & wording from your received refund letter and dates thereof
    9)-Present Monthly Total Payment + %
10)-any history you have of Interest Rate Changes in form of a list---

Hi I posted this on another thread but was advised to post it here:

Hi All, I got a letter from A&L stating that I "may" have had a PPI on my loan etc etc turns out I did, I did not even know that is why I have never even read the PPI threads  Well it turns out I paid £5.18 per month for the PPI but:eek: I paid the loan off early. Loan £5000 paid £123.20 per month (£5.18 PPI ), I only paid the loan for 10 month and then paid it in full, does that mean I will be able to claim back £51.80 (£5.18 x10).

Also, I had a Halifax loan around the same time that I have paid off, did Halifax also have the "hidden" PPI around the same time?

    Thanks for reading :p

I'll have a look if you give me the details

1)-Date of agreement and Number of Months of Loan
    2)-Date of first payment

I made a new thread on the forum about this and then Di suggested I should post it here.

I got a letter last week from the Financial Ombudsman saying that despite Lloyds saying they did not mis-sell me PPI, that they have agreed to the FO's ruling as a gesture of goodwill.

From the wording of the letter I believe that I will get the full PPI premium refunded plus 8% interest per annum simple (whatever that means). I took the loan out over 5 years and the final payment was made in November '08. Lloyds have also agreed to pay £200 compensation.

I'm just wondering if anyone can give me rough idea of how much I can expect to recieve?

Total PPI Premium was £5031 on a £25000 loan over 5 years.

Also does anyone know if the refund comes as a cheque or directly into my bank. If it goes directly into my bank they can claim a lot of it back by cancelling my o/draft facility which I use all the time. According to the letter Lloyds should settle within the next 12 weeks.

I'm at work at the moment, but I can give more exact figures tomorrow.

    Any advice appreciated.

Will have a look if you post up details

    Hi masmit

    Hope your well.;)

Thanks for your input here, and with the FLA, even though the FOS told me to go that direction, it did not work for me either, okay some have been lucky but I agree with what you say also.;)

There are other ways around this, like you said, and with now to what I know free services on offer as well (no upfront charges etc) to help us through, thanks hun.:A ;)

    Hi Livvylegs

Well done to you. Just be very aware of "good will gestures" although saying that if you are happy with the amount they have offered then take it. Ask for it to be paid to you by cheque or directly into your account.;)

If you want the figures checked TURBOMAN is a whizz at these. If you look at possts further up you will see what info he needs to sort this out.

Good luck Livvy am really pleased for you.:D
