Hi I posted this on another thread but was advised to post it here:
Hi All, I got a letter from A&L stating that I "may" have had a PPI on my loan etc etc turns out I did, I did not even know that is why I have never even read the PPI threads  Well it turns out I paid £5.18 per month for the PPI but:eek: I paid the loan off early. Loan £5000 paid £123.20 per month (£5.18 PPI ), I only paid the loan for 10 month and then paid it in full, does that mean I will be able to claim back £51.80 (£5.18 x10).
Also, I had a Halifax loan around the same time that I have paid off, did Halifax also have the "hidden" PPI around the same time?
Thanks for reading
Turbo
When you have some "spare" mins hun do you think you could take a look at Bebsie's post here in regards of calculations, and let Bebsie now what info is required in order for you to work this out, thanks hun, much appreciated indeed.:AX

Hi can anyone give me some advice. I took out a loan in 2003 and restructured the loan in 2005. My payments were £40.00 ppi a month for 5 years. I have received a letter form Nat West today and they have said that they are not going to upheld my complaint but have offered me £750.00 good will offer for each policy total £1500.00. I still feel unhappy as i really wanted all the money back that i paid. Would you advice me to carry on and go to the financial Ombudsman and how do i go about this ? Also if the FO do not up held my complaint will i lose the offer so far from Nat West ?
Hi hun
I think I also left a post in another thread as well, but here you should hopefully receive some opinions from others as well.;) X
In my opinion, I would write back as soon as you can and ask if they are prepared to take this any higher, if they do not then its time to move on to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS).
If your not satisfied, let them know, as its quite a difference in the amounts.
If they have already stated its their final offer, and your not happy, then you do have the option to take this to the FOS now.
Once you've let them know, you can either download a form from the FOS website or give them a ring to arrange them to post one to you.
After completing them, I would take some photocopies, keep one for yourself, and send on to NAT WEST to make them aware you have moved this on to the FOS. (hopefully this may make them change their mind - but its not always the case).
FOS details here:
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm
I think your case will be fine with the FOS as they will see that an offer has already been made, but again maybe others will give their views as well.
Good luck hun and hope they higher this for you, if not then get on to the FOS.;) XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi
Have a read of this http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2009/feb/22/ppi-banks-mis-selling. I wouldn't accept their offer if I were you, take it to the FOS.0 -

Thank you! I phoned them and they said I can let them know via phone if I want to take things further, I did this - do you think I should still write to them?0 -
Hi,today I chased Natwest re and offer.
I claimed through the hardship route,I first contacted them on 10th Nov, they sent the f/h forms and these were completed and returned by recorded delivery.
Along the way they also requested further information which was supplied.
I recieved a letter dated 3rd March,stating that I had been accepted as a f/h case.
They would be making an offer and to sign and return the form to accept.
Well today I rang to chase the wherabouts of the offer only to be told that they sent out the letter in error and that they would not be making an offeras my claim had been rejected!
I was very shocked and asked that she look into it ,she offered to look into the matter and send an email to other dept will take 3-5 days for a response!!!
I then contacted the FO who has said that they will contact Natwest directly. Watch this space, what do you think?
Sorry this is so long.SPC £500 well will try very hard.

Hiya hun
So they told you at first you were accepted and now telling you they made a mistake on sending out that letter?
Well for that, the offer should still stand in my opinion, its not your fault they done this, as far as you were concerned after everything you went through to get there, such as sending the required documents in order for them to consider this on harship etc, they should not now decide its an error.
Good luck with this hunni.;) XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Was this charges or PPI?DS1 12/10/04
DS2 13/07/06

Bank charges on a step account,£300,however I also asked
Natwest to take another account into consideration which is also charges but a higher amount. Surely if it was accepted that I am in financial difficulty they should pay this also?
e court case. It is now lodged with the court and also with FO.Should this make any difference to my claim??SPC £500 well will try very hard.
