hi , a little help needed!!
i started a ppi claim with ismart early jan , the last letter i had from them was on the 3rd of feb! i try calling them but im always on hold for 40 mins +.
has anyone got any advice for me. many thanks
Hi there, what response did you get from them in feb and did you sign a contract?.

Take a look at this thread
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1335635

I know it is quite old,but has some good advice..
Also put a complaint into these
    http://www.justice.gov.uk/global/contacts/claims-management-regulation/index.htm
Put a letter to i smart, let them know you are not happy with the lack of response to your claim and you are putting a complaint into the claims regulator.
It may not work, but tell them you want an itemised bill for the work they have done, and you will not be paying a % for your claim.

Hi. I posted this yesterday and have no replies as yet. I would be grateful for any suggestions as to what I do next. :)

I would email the CEO and ask them to get your claims handler to contact you. I emailed CEO yesterday (quite a strong email I might add) saying i was fed up of getting conflicting messages and my claims handler rang today and gave me her direct line and name so that I dont have to go through the 0845 number and be on hold forever. You could say in the email that the customer service is dreadful and that you want an explanation as to why they couldnt resend the letter. When i spoke to my claims handler she said I could ring anytime and if any updates had been added to the screen she could relay them to me over the telephone.

Thank you both for your replies.
I have contacted the customer service team again and been told that the proof I sent in to them in June to confirm I paid PPI they never received despite me getting proof. I have now been asked to fax the paperwork ASAP and they will ask the claim handler to review the case again!!
Surely they will have my details on file and it will show the PPI paid.
I have received no reassurance that I will get a response quickly once I provide the docs.
Should I write to the CEO at Halifax and if so does anyone have his email address please. Thanks.

dont know if this will show up as i believe mse is blocking email addresses but here goes - antonio osorio @lloydsbanking.com Email saying you are not happy with their responses and you would like your claims handler to call you back.

okay it wont let me do it so there is a dot between his first and second name and no spaces if that makes sense.

Barclaycard sent me an offer in early Sept for reimbursement of my PPI, which I accepted, and which appeared in my bank account on Monday am. Unfortunately they also deducted it from my Barclaycard account so that I was effectively reimbursing myself!' They've acknowledged this was a mistake so I'm now waiting to check that they have put it right...
One question - their offer letter says the payment may be taxable. Does anyone know if this is the case?

Hi there, if you are a tax payer, you pay tax on the 8% they give you, if you dont pay tax or do not earn enough to pay tax,and the 8% does not take you over your tax code, you dont have to pay this.

I have just emailed stephen hester  as just realized that the second claim we won ( we have won 2 so far; 1 Natwest & 1 Clydesdale) in July from Natwest still has not hit the bank and hubby has waited.......63 days:mad::mad:!!! And to add insult to injury, he got a letter today that states it could be another 4 weeks!!:mad:
Dont get me wrong it isn't very much but it is the pricipal of the thing, so i have sent an email to the big man stating this was upheld on the 9th July, accepted 22nd July and we are still here and should receive compensation!!:p What a joke...:, i am going to contact the FOS and FSA about this! They should be made to stick to guidelines...everyone else has to in this world!! Rant over!!:o I thank you..xx
