  • Hi I have a question about PPI, my OH had three credit cards all with the Bank of Scotland all had PPI all at the same time.
They were different cards though. Is this Fraud selling three lots of PPI to one person from the same company?
He has had a calculation letter dated 15/09/2011 he has been ringing them up regarding his payment, the calculations were up to 05/10/2011.He sent hisacceptance form back 26/08/2011
He keeps being told your cheque will be with you soon, after numerous phone calls to them BOS i said to him pls email the CEO.
He said it might hold the money up.
Can someone help please, we could really do with the money ?
    Thanks in advance

Hi i'm new on here I have been reading but this is my first post.
I have had 2 loans with black horse I phoned them and got copys of my loan agreements and 2 questionaires which I filled out and sent back. They just replyed to me today saying they can not trace one of these loans. What I want to know is how can they say that when only 2 weeks ago they sent me the copy.I am going to contact them tomorrow about it i refuse to be told a load of crap by them.Any ideas what I can throw ayt them so it sounds good??

The ppi I had was for £1357 and was taken out in January 2002 will I get much back on this.Think intreast was about 11% :)
Hi there, you just tell them you have sent the copy of the agreements that they sent to you!!!,so how they cannot find your details on one loan beggars belief.

To work out what you are owed, you get the ppi taken off the loan, this reduces the balance(if still running), you get your ppi monthly payment taken off the loan, the ppi you have paid to date with interest, plus the 8% back to you,if you settled a loan early, you will have had a rebate of ppi so this will be taken off any win you may get.

    LISTEN YOU
You give them hell, the CEO WHOEVER and there is a timescale laid down by the FSA/FOS and NO, they cannot pay when it suits them ???
You tell the CEO what you have been told and by whom, if you want your money PUT IMMENSE PRESSURE ON

    Hi

This is from the specific Halifax thread. thought i would update everyone on this thread.

Further to my email yesterday to CEO just received a call at work (good job the boss was out!). anyway no further forward just lots of apologies and usual stuff about sheer volume of work etc. However at least I now have a direct line (instead of going through expensive number) and a name of my claim handler. she told me to ring her every week if i want and as soon as she receives the calculations she will be able to read the contents out to me. Not much progress but made me feel a bit better. I did ask her honestly if she thought it would be dealt with by xmas and she said she couldnt say as if it then wasnt she would be in trouble for saying it would be. Also asked her for FOS guidance on timescales for completing claims. When I said i was told that there were none last week she kinda mentioned that they do have an 8 week timescale for payment but she expects the FOS will be increasing this shortly. She could have been making that up though although she seemed very nice.

Original complaint received by Halifax - 2 Jun
    Uphold letter dated 27 August
Acceptance sent back 3 Sept by recorded delivery. didnt arrive so faxed copy on 9 sept. Both acceptances for same claim scanned onto system on 16 Sept

I asked about them going in date order and she said they were!! but that if you complaint was for a loan or CC from the 80's then they would need to get documents from archive and that is what is taking the time so if a handler is working on something like that and there are say 3 or 4 claims for that person it is holding everyone elses claims up. Personally when I am waiting for a document at work to complete a task I put it to one side and start the next thing on my list until it comes in. I dont just sit twiddling my thumbs (although the lady assured me they arent sitting twiddling their thumbs).

    C.x
