PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

After reading so many stories online we thought why not jump on the band wagon and for the sake of a few minutes completing the questionaire and a stamp we thought what have we got to loose.
Well the forms went to Capital One within a couple of weeks we got a letter to confirm that they had received our case and would be in touch. Two weeks later we've now received an offer for both cards my wife and I have with them.
Just short of £350 in total. We didn't think that we would get a refund as we both signed up on line and assumed capital one would find a loop hold and say No but great surprise and a fast response.
Morale of the story is try it you never know!!
Just got too wait on HSBC now for our 1st Mortage and Wife's student loan - Can anyone share success stories from HSBC?0 -

I'd be happy to i've now won 7 misolds with them and i've now put my mortgage in, everything got put on hold whilst the j.r was going on but yes everything quite easy and straightforward the only snag is you'll have to fight them to get them to go beyond 6 years.0 -
Thanks Di and olliecp77 for trying to help. Di, it's Northern Bank in Northern Ireland as ollie said. I've also tried googling but don't know whether it would be gerry.mallon @ northernbank or if it would be ceo@ northern bank. The staff at Northern Bank wouldn't tell me either as they said that he isn't customer facing !0

Hi
If you contact the FOS, they may know perhaps.;)
Or you could still give it a go by emailing both of the above and see what comes back.
Fingers crossed.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I called Lloyds last week and they told me that the 8% interest won't be automatically re-calculated if it goes beyond the date specified in the letter. I could ask them to do so, but that would mean the payment would go to the back of the queue and another 6 to 8 week wait.
My letter was dated the same day. My redress is £9300, Im still paying my loan with them and last week it went down by a 1/3! I rang them and was told that my payment 'shouldnt be much longer' as my loan had been restuctured. I was told that my premiums wil go back into the account that the DD is set up to pay the loan, and the interest will be sent to me by cheque. So fingers crossed its soon0 -
Hi People,
Can anyone advise me on one thing, that being is it better to go with someone like Gladstone Brookes to reclaim my PPI at their rate of roughly 30% if successful for ease and proffessional handling or is it better to go it alone myself, will i have more success with GB??0
