Yes, I remember that, but things changed when customers started charging the banks £25 per letter if they could not get a reply.
Let's bring that back into force and for every letter/email they ignore bill them £25 each time, that will soon wake up this low life
good idea
let make it £50 a letter :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Hi beamerguy i will email them and let them know thanks, Milkyshake i dont think lloyds know what the word consistency means and i dont think they know how to tell the truth either i have been told so many different things that its imposible to know whats true !!! i also found a post further back where someone said that they had emailed lloyds and mentioned that they were waiting to settle some debts with their payment, i tried both these and just got an email back telling me to ring the phone number as they cant help via email all i can say is that im glad that this is my second and last ppi claim and then its all over with, my first one was with welcome finance all done and dusted and paid within 8 weeks no problems whatsoever.0

Hi All.
Congrats to all of todays winners :j:j
Not heard from Barclays today should have been the 14th ,phone call to them on Monday I suppose :mad:
Just a quick question ,got the LLoyds letter yesterday stating that to accept offer all I have to do is ignore it ,what is the time scale before they assume I have ignored it and will not be taking it further and them putting things in motion to pay me ?
Seems a very open ended way of holding onto your money a little longer :mad:
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the response.
Suppose I will just have to wait and see ,surprising how quickly they can take money from an account :rotfl: but moves slowly the other way.
Good luck and I hope You get a payment soon.

It is now over 21 weeks since i sent my original complaint and nearly 7 weeks since being told that i am entitled to my money back. First i was told 21 working days to recieve my cheque, then i was told to allow an extra 2 weeks on top of that. Yesterday i was told that they are currently sending out payments for those whose offer letters are dated the beginning of august which means that i still have at least another 5 or 6 weeks to wait. I asked why it had to be a cheque and was told that they were saying everyone had to have a cheque to make it fair although a few people had contested it and managed to get payment straight into their account but it had delayed the process so they may as well have waited for a cheque !! Basically i was told that while the ombidsman makes the ruling as to how many weeks they have to answer your complaint there is no limit to how quickly they have to pay you, if you try to complain it will delay the process so shut up and wait. Its a shame that the ombidsman didnt make a ruling about payment timecales at the same time !!!:mad:
I sent my claim in in August LAST year and have still not been paid out by RBS.
Acceptance letter posted in August this year and still waiting for money. Other have posted that they have received money from claims sent in much later than mine so they do not appear to be dealing with them in any fair or disciplined way, and I don't just mean RBS or LLoyds TSB I mean all of them. Perhaps one of the bankers would like to issue me with a cheque out of his bonus and I will refund him when I get my money. Errrmm - I won't hold my breath. Am seriously thinking of buying a safe and sinking it into cellea floor and keeping my money there.0 -
