mbna paid out no problems morgan stanley barclays say no because post application back in 2000 that have ticked the box . the say that is it i must go to the fos . rang them today spoke to office manager told them ppi was no good to me as i was paid 12 months sick pay she told me that all she could do was send me a copy of the agreement and i would have to go to the fos after the big fuss of diamound saying the would pay out on the back log it seems they will try anything not pay out any one els
A tricky one but,
1: did you tick the box, can you remember
2: was there any information provided regarding the terms and small print of the PPI
3: were you given a 14 day cooling off period, meaning you could change your mind, they have to give that to you in writing.0 -

I am fed up with Lioyds now
A few weeks ago i get a letter saying that they are going to give me all my PPI back plus interest on a credit card, i then sent of the acceptance form and then i have a letter back that they need proof that i was paying PPI.
I did send them a statement with proof of PPI at the beginning of my claim.
Whats wrong with these people???
Barclays
sent them the my original loan contract stating how much PPI i was paying , waited twelve weeks for a reply from them and their response was couldnt find an account , but however if you could send us your loan policy we would look at the claim again
Dont you just love it and doesnt it give you faith in these people that are dealing with our money day in day out.
Now i know where the monkeys went to from the PG tips advert they are sorting out all our claims.
You hum it son and i'll play it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I am now in the process of writing letters to them again

For anyone being messed about with being told for example, upheld then not upheld (just like one of odd socks above) and maybe waiting for refunds for far too long, give your MP a call, see if they can write/email the banks on your behalf, it may help, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0

Lisa claimed on a mis-sold endownment policy.
All this goes well beyond PPI on credit cards and the like so if you have been mis-sold a financial services product CLAIM
Check all your policies and if in doubt SHOUT !!!:j
At this rate, the good people on this MSE forum could actually bust the banks
QUESTION AND THOUGHT
Companies that lose money through debts etc can claim back against Corporation Tax and taxation. If this were to happen, the government would be financing this whole sordid affair.
Over to you George Osborne ??????:eek::eek:0 -
Hi i have just had a conversation with BOS and even though I have had a calculations letter dated 15/09/2011 I have been told once again a cheque will be posted to you , we can't give a date(What a joke)has nay one been paid out from BOS and how long did they wait?
Good luck to everyone who has has success by the way.
Just a bit frustrated that I can't get any answers from them.

Don't worry, you will get it, just chase them on a daily basis, they will want to get rid of you so they post your cheque.

So is it true the banks are running out of money. How does everyone know that. I thought they had set aside millions to pay the mis sold ppi.
Just wondering..........

WHO KNOWS, the fact though is that huge claims are not substainable to any company.
The problem is this, they set aside all these £billions on calculations of what might happen. They have not taken into account the future and ongoing claims which could double or treble their estimates.
As word spreads, they are facing a daily input of new claims from those who were unaware they could claim. This will continue into the unforseen future.
HOWEVER, this is not a case of panic if you have an account with a UK bank, the government is your cushion.0
