Hi all

I was just wondering if anybody had any experience with a PPI reclaim from Lloyds TSB. I sent my claim in back in June and they confirmed to receiving it. Since then I have made a number of calls and then on 14th September 2011, they said they sent me an acceptence letter, which I never received. They said they couldn't re-send it, as it was not allowed and I would have to accept over the phone. I was a bit unsure about this as without a letter, I wasn't sure as to what I was accepting, but they said they we offering me 100% compensation + 8% interest. They then went on to say I would be getting a calculations letter shortly in the post, but every week nothing comes and every week I call them asking for it. They keep saying, it will be with you in the next week and there is a back log of sending letters, but nothing ever arrives!! Does anyone know how long it takes to receive this letter or who I can complaint to, to get them to do something.....

Hi Nicola
I sent my complaint in mid-June to LloydsTSB. It took them the full 16 weeks to reply with calculations and received my letter a few days ago. I'm not sure in your case why they would not re-send the letter. If the complaint was upheld they would have done the calculations also. They should still be able to give the full details over the phone, so you can dispute them if necessary. LLoyds are not requiring acceptance letters for offers they send out; only to call them if you do not wish to accept their offer. During the time I was waiting, I sent a couple of emails to Customer.Care.Insurance@LloydsTSB.co.uk
• I sent my claim form to lloyds on 14th may it took them 15 weeks to reply saying that they would pay and send me an acceptance form but with no amount on it and saying that i have to wait for a cheque not straight into our account !! it took another 3 weeks to get a letter with an amount on saying payment would be made shortly but when i rung to find out how long i was told normally 21 working days but payments are taking at least 2 weeks longer at the moment. Still waiting 2.5 weeks later !! i have tried to ring again but after waitng 30 mins on an 0845 number gave up. I rung the ombidsman and was told that they dont have to pay within 16 weeks just give you an answer and if you make a complaint about how long it is taking to pay you start the 16 week process again and hold it up even longer !! Obviously it is just a way of keeping hold of our money for as long as possible !!

can anyone who has emailed Lloyds CEO tell me how long it usually takes for a response? I emailed him on 5 October (used the email address posted on here - guy with an exotic name) but no joy yet.
Any info on estimated response time would be appreciated.

Hi there

I am not the patient type to be honest :o, so I will send a further one the following day to chase it up, but yet I email the CEO, and copy it to the customer team at the same time, this way I do find in my own experience - they get back quicker.

Good luck x;)

Hello!

I had a Sky Credit card for a few years which had a 'Payment Break plan'.
Basically you paid a % of the outstanding balance on the card every month and you could take a repayment plan should your income drop 25%.
Has anyone been able to make a successful PPI claim against these guys?

I have made 3 successful claims against RBS so far (acceptance letters received on 21st Sep) but still awaiting my refund. I assume they are taking the full 28 WORKING days :(

Thanks lovely people :D

I have jhistoric loans going back to 2000 with MBNA and Halifax plus an old Natwest and Capital One Credit Card.
All were paid off in 2000 / 2001

Has anyone had any successful claims going this far back without paperwork?

Many thanks :):):):)

Not from them but had 5 loans success with RBS on Saturday going back to 1997, I know dizzyDi has had some going back to the 90's and I think it was Lloyds.

You just make them aware about the recent judicial review and media coverage that you found out about the whole ppi and mis-sale of it, and looked up your paperwork etc etc.

As long as you have your reasons for mis-sale you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Hope this helps:D

• Dear Martin:A
I have been unemployed now for over 6 months and really struggling for cash.. Last June I did fill in a PPI claim form and followed your instructions to the letter and today I have received and offer of 12,635.91 for my RBS Visa.. I had so many tears in my eyes.... Thank you :):):j

PS: My partner has done same thing with his RBS Mastercard and 2 loans he had taken over 10 years ago with Halifax... We will let you know the otcome of those..
Once Again Thank you for your fantastic advice.

• hi everyone

I downloaded and sent my ppi reclaim/complaint to MBNA early September. Today I have received notification that my complaint is being upheld and a cheque for £3700 to follow within 28days.

Thank you to you contributors on this site, whilst I have not contributed that much myself, I am sure that I would not have got off my backside without YOUR help/advice.

Give yourselves a pat on the back from me and if there is anyone out there still unsure whether or not to act as I was - DO IT TODAY!!:j:j:money::T
