Hi russ hsbc made me a miserly offer for a 4k loan and a credit card that i'd had for 14 years and had had 18k on over the years, they offered me £1492.00 which i've told them they can keep, we're sarring them now to force the info out of them.

Im interested to see how quickly they pay off our loan, compared to how quickly the balance of the offer ends up in our bank account. Im betting the dates will differ by 3 or 4 days at least!

I think this approach helps sometimes lyn they seem to like it better when people are nice to them although it is hard isn.t it especially as most of the banks have had our money so long as it is, good approach though.
I agree cappo,. it's hard being nice to these theiving bar stewards, but at least if they think you're been nice and grovelling to them they might think aawww they're nice, c'mon we'll help them this week, to f**k with the rest at least this guy/gal was nice!!:D

Who knows, maybe they just set like 10% aside and help them, or maybe women over men!:rotfl:

i think your right there smitchy it's just such a shame you've got to ask for something that already belongs to you in the first place, we're still seeing too much of this, it's our money in the first place, the jr has accomplished nothing in that the banks are still handling complaints extremely badly, pretty much how they were handling them before nothing much has changed has it.
  • I emailed Julian Gough at HSBC 3 days ago, and sent a secure message on online banking and still no reply from them to confirm the signed acceptance letter had landed in their offices.....

  • Hello All.
A very big THANKYOU:T to sunny8, smitchy73 and cappo for your replies.
I received a letter from the bank 2 days ago saying they are sorry about the delay and they are looking into my claim, will be at least another 4 weeks.
Will keep you posted on this.
I was wondering if interest is added on to the refund? If it is successful, and if there is anyway i can calculate the amount as it was added monthly.
Fingers crossed, i really need the money.
Good luck to all who are claiming, i am telling all i know to claim if they have paid PPI in the past.

Hi draceana, yes interest is added to the refund, is this a loan or credit card?
If it's a loan it's quite easy to work out whats due back, if it's a CC it's alot harder.
CB with me took about 16 weeks from start to finish.
Thanks to all the competition posters.
