A wee question ....what do you mean by front loaded PPI ? Thanks .
Hi front loaded means that the ppi is applied in one lump at the start of the loan rather than paying for the ppi monthly you pay for it all in one go. the problem being of course is the ppi has interest applied to it as well. hope this helps.0 -

Hello There,
You can start a complaint if you have your account number. Its easy to do yourself, so i would avoid a claims company. . You can do the complaint over the phone or via letter form, its up to you
to get you started, Look here for info and reasons for being miss-sold your ppi, Most ppi's were front loaded which is a big NO NO so go for it!
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/rec...nsurance#step2
Once you have had a read though and have your reasons. You will need to fill in a consumer complaints questionnaire. Which I would download, have a read though and familiarise yourself with the questionnaire and its layout. The questionnaire can be found here
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/rec...nsurance#step3
the main info you will need to complete the questionnaire is:
Loan account number/numbers OR CC account number/ numbers
start date
finish date
and your reasons
also have a read here for even more information:
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.u...PPI-forms.html
Then complete the form and send it off. If you ring your bank or CC company they may have a ppi complaint line and can start your complaint for you over the phone but id get as much info ready before phoning them. If you start a complaint over the phone, they will ask the reasons why you felt mis-sold so have all the information ready and be prepared.
simples, hope that may help, good luck

I had a very quick same day resonse when I emailed him, and had my cheque within 2 weeks. I was super nice in the email, but at the same time quite firm, within 2 hrs I had an email back from a very nice Matthew Brodericck representing Mr O'Doherty. If I were you I would go along the lines fo
Dear Sir,
Firstly may I apologise or having to email you, I appreciate you are a very busy man but unfortunatley I feel I have no alternative.
I first contacted your company back in January (then outline your comments and timescale as on your post above).
finish it along the lines of,
As I'm sure you understand that as a long time, loyal customer I feel very let down and am hoping that perhaps you can help me. I am reluctant to take this complaint to the FOS but if I don't recieve a reply within 14 days I will have no alternative but to do so.
Hope this helps.(not trying to tell you how to write your letters or what to do!) Good Luck
I think this approach helps sometimes lyn they seem to like it better when people are nice to them although it is hard isn.t it especially as most of the banks have had our money so long as it is, good approach though.0 -

Hi
Was wondering whether amybody can help me, i want to claim mis-sold ppi back on two previous loans. I was going to use one of these no win no fee places but after seeing what they charge i thought i might give it a go myself. The only problem is my two loans were taken out over the six year limit you have to claim. The 1st one was taken out in nov 99 and the 2nd one in 03. Has anybody had any success in claiming back ppi in loans older than 6 years old?
Yes lee i now claimed and won a misold from LTSB it went back to 1995 i'm now awaiting a sar from them to do 2 credit cards going back to 1992.0 -
Hi there, look here for reasons for mis sell http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-credit-card-insurance#step2herman0786 wrote: »Hi i'm looking for some guidance if someone can help me
1st of all i will try to keep a long story short
1 took out 1st credit card from Capital one maybe 10 or 11 years ago with ppi on it
2 in 2003 i had a bad car accident and was on sick for approx 14 months and the ppi paid 10% of my card balance every month
3 continued with card, paying ppi all along,in 2009 i run out of work (self-employed) and signed on dole and tried to claim on the ppi
4 capital one (or insurance company) sent me out paperwork asking me for details about things i didn't no, at least 6 things, one i can remember was proof of my national insurance being up to date!!!!!, !!!!!!,had to give paperwork to my accountant
5 was turned down for claim as national insurance stamps wern't up to date
6 Fortunes changed,Fiance won money at bingo and paid up balance on card and closed account last year 2010
7 now all my paper work is dumped and have no info about account at all
8 Can someone tell me if i have a claim for mis-sold ppi please
If any/all apply to you, then put a complaint in.
One reason with yours is that the unemployment benefit for the insurance was not explained fully to you, hence your claim on this was rejected.
Give Cap one a ring and ask for the card number, this is all you need to put a claim in.
The above is the good news.
This may be the bad news....
You claimed on this once, and then tried to claim a second time,so you cannot say the usual "i did not know i had it,and i have just realised i do".
You could try a claim and see what happens, but if you are lucky and you win, this may be negated by the amount they paid you when you claimed on the ppi.
Good luck with this if you decide to go for it.0 -

Hi russ hsbc made me a miserly offer for a 4k loan and a credit card that i'd had for 14 years and had had 18k on over the years, they offered me £1492.00 which i've told them they can keep, we're sarring them now to force the info out of them.0 -

Very hard to be nice, but I do find in my own work if someone complains when something is wrong and they are pleasant I will go to the ends of the earth to help resolve it.
Although saying that my 'nice' email to the ceo of barclaycard on Tuesday hasn't exactly worked as to date they haven't called me, yet when I sent them bolshy, bit cheeky ones they rang me that same day!! Agh well maybe todays the day lol
hope Mr Postie brings loads and loads of good news for everyone today.:D0
