Letter sent to First Plus today, recorded delivery off course.

Just a waiting game now, just trying to figure out who is next.

    ....

got my letter from Firstplus with an offer, saying "our records show that the features and benefits of the PPI policy were not accurately explained to you".

    :)

Just trying to get my head round the figures. I understand what they are offering my but not so much with the other figures.

I should'nt say this as i'm sure amersall will tell me off lol, my personal spin on this is i think the banks have now started winding down with decisions and are now going to start mass upholds to avoid angering the fsa, there not going to get done now and this applies to all banks across the board, i don't think they'll get anymore extensions, only my opinion though.
    :p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p
THEY WILL PAY UP BY THE DEADLINE :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Think they were going to anyway, they just wanted everyone to squirm

Hope i dont have to eat my words and have to grovel :o:o

I did read in the times that the extension can be lengthened though if the banks are struggling :eek:

looks like they have investigated and UPHELD your complain rather than a blanket goodwill offer. Was your complaint after April 20th?. If so then one of the first FP customers I know about that has been offered redress.

I can explain the figs for you if you want to replicate here. If not make sure that the outcome is that the new payment is less than the ppi you had been paying (approx 20% less than current). FP are prone to making mistakes and are having to recalculate when I point out their errors (oo that sounded arrogant :o).

  • Hi I have been following all your great advice for some time and am delighted at all the success stories.

I would like to know if anyone knows how the RBS is progressing with claims? I put in my claim in July 2010 and it was put on hold awaiting the JR and I have had the standard 31st August deadline letters. I haven't read too many RBS loan claims on here recently so I am wondering if they are just going to send out letters en masse in time for the deadline. I have tried to call them but both numbers are just ringing out.

    Many Thanks.
As a newbie who has read this forum every night for I dont know how long and learnt alot about PPI = in answer to your query I too have a claim with the RBS my claim has been in with them since September last year, I phoned the FSO three weeks ago and a lovely lady there told me my claim had been upheld by them and I was in the next block of names to be forwarded to RBS for them to work out the figure due to me ofcourse like yourself I havent heard a word from them.
The FSO confirmed that they could only forward so many cases to the banks at a time, but as someone on this forum has already said how long does it take to calculate the amounts owing.
I paid over £4000 in ppi and its the injustice of us all having to wait for our own money back - good luck to everyone waiting for their letter.
