PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi,
I have just rang them. They said as they provided statements and a schedule they have the right to bank it, that was like an admin fee.
Sounds a bit of a cop out to me but not going to lose any sleep over £10.
Thanks,
Daniel
Hi Daniel
They "must" though still return your payment, that's the rules they must follow in regards of the data protection act (DPA) if they're unable to provide you with any data. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi all
as I posted yesterday Barclays credited my account with PPI refund and have received the breakdown this morning. Out of the 9 consolidated loans I asked them to look at they have only refunded on 3 - dated Dec 03, Jan 04 and Feb 05. Looking back on the PPI questionnaire I sent in I had quoted the agreement number (which is the same on all loans) but also the loan number for the Feb 05 loan only. (my fault!):( l They have obviously only looked at the Feb 05 loan and mentioned in the letter that they can see this was a "top-up" of previous loans, therefore as a gesture of goodwill have offered refunds on the previous (2). They also say that this is their final response - is it too late now for me to go back to them to ask for them to look at the previous loans - Feb 2000, Jan 2001, March 2002, Sept 2002, Nov 05 and Feb 07? I have copies of the agreements. Thanks in advance.

Hi Fi
I agree with amersall, contact them and request they look at them all, its something the FSA would want them to do anyway in time, so they may as well get on with them all now, that's the way I see it, good luck x;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Sorry for lack of contact they still have 2 weeks to deadline and would send a “resolution” letter by said deadline, so no wiser really but at least the word rejection was not used

I agree with Di,they've provided you with nothing so they owe you a refund, they have not complied with the data protection act in that they've banked money for something they haven't given you.0 -

No worries if not.

If complaint pre 21st April then you will not be rejected as they are paying out on all these claims no quibble.
