    1) I have been helping an aunt to claim and its been a success however Barclays decided to payout to her IVA company. The cheque was sent to her address but the IVA company was rather named. The IVA payments are still in force.

Is she not the one entitled to some or all of of the money as the 8% interest is in her regard as she was deprived of that?

She is happy to use the money to continue her monthly payments but I want to know the legality of this arrangement.

    2) On a Halifax Mortgage - Can you claim back the Mortgage Repayment Protector Insurance if you believe it was missold. The bank clerk I spoke to with my aunt claims those were regulated products. If she was not made aware it was optional is that a cause for a complaint?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi hilarious well done to your aunt:j:money::D:T:):)

I sent off a claim to HSBC for a loan which I've now completed. However, on the letter they have sent to say they have received the complaint they also list 2 previous loans which were consolidated into the one I've just finished paying off, Does this mean that they are looking into all 3?

Hi vic hsbc also did this with me i sent in a reclaim letter for 4 loans and they notified me about a 5k loan i'd forgotten about

Hi, the 2nd one on my list, I have no idea about, that sounds terrible but I really don't. I'll just keep my fingers crossed they are upheld

Also Cappo, did you send questionnaires for each individual loan?

Yes vic i would have liked to just send one questionaire for the whole 5 as they were all sold the same way but they wanted a seperate questionaire for each complaint.

Thanks so much for the quick reply! You're a star!

Right I'll give it a go.....nothing to loose and as a lady at Santander told me they don't mind anyone putting in a complaint as it's keeping them in work!

Now, do i need to put seperate questionaires in for each account number or do you think I should maybe just send a letter or e-mail covering all account numbers, bearing in mind I have no info re:dates or amounts etc.? I could then put in the letter that ' I believe PPI was added to the loans and mis-sold because........'
I know some banks are a bit funny about it, when I did my five with RBS I put them all in seperately, but if your reasons were the same there probably isn't anything wrong with putting them in on the same form, just where it asks for your account numbers just put in the different loan numbers, and if you do a covering letter, just state that the complaint is in for the two or whatever number of loans it is for.
Thanks to all the competition posters.
