So pleased, just phoned the OH claims company and kicked up massively about the fact that they've had some of his claims since the beginning of the year, he's heard nothing, they wanted to put them straight to the FOS apparently, total mess. Told them that I wanted to handle them all myself now, they said their will be an £85 an hour charge for any work that has already been done, did I still want to cancel with them. I asked for an exact cancellation figure which they then phoned back 10 mins later and said that their would be no fee as they had made a bit of a mess with his claims. Thanks to everyone on here because when I argued with them at first about what they'd actually done I knew exactly what I was talking about and when they said about the financial ombudsman I said, with a big puff and sigh "What on earth are you trying to take it to the FOS for it will take even longer?" I think I frightened them with my MSE knowledge:rotfl::rotfl:Onwards and upwards, busy afternoon filling in his forms and two I know are biggies:T0

Can see me living on this thread for the next few afternoons while I try and sort out my OH's mess! First card I'm starting on is MBNA. He opened the card whilst going on a business trip, at Stansted airport. The girl came up to him while he was at a check in and asked if he wanted the card and the incentive on it was free flights reward system. She filled in all the form for him and he just signed it. According to him their was no mention of ppi and it definately wasnt explained. I have the date the card started and he's still paying ppi to this day, last months ppi cover was £51!! Do I need to get MBNA to send me the agreement first as he hasnt got it or can I just fill in the form with the date the card started and all the info about how he was sold the ppi.TIA
Look here for reasons for mis sell and if any/all apply to your hubby, then get a claim in.

As you know ppi is on there, you only need the card number to make a complaint.

1st card done, 2nd one I am looking OH has had a letter back from Vanquis stating that they do not sell any type of Payment Protection Plan, yet on his statement he is paying Repayment Option Plan. Is that the same thing? I would have thought so or am I totally wrong? TIABeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0

Hi
I assumed it was the same thing, maybe they are just saying that in hope you will not take it anywhere, in my opinion any type of cover can be mis sold, so in this case do go for it, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Quick update, phoned Vanquis who really are insisting that a repayment option plan is not PPI. Was a bit concerned on this card as OH took it over the internet 5 years ago but have done a bit of delving and found out that the repayment option plan was not done on the internet but was sold to OH when he activated the card. Have spoken to Vanquis who knew exactly what I was up to when I asked if I could have a recording of the telephone sale. Have agreed that they will give it to me but can take up to 56 days. Patience is a virtue;) and I have plenty:)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0
