Hi Guys first ever post,

Hi there, look here for reasons for mis sell
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#step2

Further down the link you will find a letter to download and fill in for your claim (this is all the claims co will do)

Post it recorded delivery to the bank you are claiming from (this is what the claims co will do)

sit back and wait for a reply (this is what the claims co will do)

If you get redress the cost to you is 0%

If the claims co get you redress, the cost to you is upwards of 25% plus vat.

What option are you going to take?.

some banks even let you phone the claim in,what could be easier?.
If you need help just ask.
My charge is 0% and no vat :rotfl::rotfl:

Afternoon everybody, was wandering if any one knew where i could fine the address or telephone number for consolidated financial insurance, sent to middlesex and bournemouth and no reply the phone number is dead, any ideas folks:p Was lloyds bowmaker loan if that makes sense;)
Just a suggestion, but give Lloyds a ring if you have the account number, they may be able to help you with this, failing that, give FOS a ring.

http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/contact/index.html

cant find the Lloyds customer service, some one may have the number and will post this.

I was 18 and unemployed when I took out my first loan and needed it to buy a car to get to a job I had been offered.

I was told I couldn't have the loan without the insurance, and being desperate, I had to say yes. I didn't know what PPI was nor was it explained to me.

Just that I must have it.

Now, am I the moron for accepting (as I wanted to be able to work and the job was 30 miles away), or is the greedy sales person the moron for lying and telling me that I had to have it to be accepted?

Answers on the back of a postcard, and I'll let you know in 16 days. If it is upheld, then it wasn't me ;)

I would imagine that based on the number of upheld complaints, you will find that we were not the morons and in fact it was the fat cat bank executives that were setting impossible targets for the bank workers to achieve, which basically boils down to an industry wide major 'Ethics Fail' at all levels.

Agreed. My card application form, way back in 1995 (from M&S, shop lady with clipboard), had the PPI box pre-ticked as "it's just a formality and we've made things easier for you". Imagine - all these years, I've been a moron and only suspected it! Nice to have it confirmed though... smiley-confused002.gif

Hey ho. Getting tired of waiting though. Wrote the letter over two months ago now... Up to 16 weeks they said, and that's a LONG time... smiley-sleep019.gif

Best wishes. x

I have just had one of those automated call from a claims company saying all the banks are now doing as Barclays have said they will i.e. if there is a PPI claim they will pay it, and that this is all achieved in 12 weeks.

Did I miss something??

i rang LLoyds tsb earlier waiting good 15 mins on the phone foe a reply, eventually a quite pleasant guy answered my call and said my case is still being investigated,i said even though it is 14 weeks now,is it a case you are stacking them all up till the sixteeenth week and then sending out,he said they were still working on the backlog, this bank is absolutely disgusting the way they are treating peeps, apart from saying being still investigated, they are like the secret service, will not let on anything,i am really fed up with them, and know when they have settle my ppi claim (i was self employed and always had a pre-existing illness)i am moving on from this bank, they are a pain in the ***e.
Anyone had any response from Lloyds from around about the same time as my complaint went in 6th may, other than we are looking at your complain letter ??Any settlements yet from around this logging time.

Congrats to everyone who has heard today, some great amounts claimed on the forum.

Same with me, been fobbed off and messed around. My claim went in to them in February and is now in it's 29 week. My letter today said they aren't dealing with my claim because I complained to FOS that they weren't investigating or responding to my claims. But now I'm left waiting for the FOS and they are saying 9 months to be allocated to a case worker.

It's got to be a stalling tactic to keep hold of the money for as long as possible. If everyone gets hacked off with being fobbed off and goes to the FOS, and they all end up taking 9+ months.

Hello,

Helping someone can give some advice please.

I knew I had an old loan but not sure on any details. I wrote to Natwest requesting some information (I wanted my loan documents to see if had PPI) They have written back saying they are unable to provide copies of the loan agreements. They also say I had three loans with Natwest which did have PPI but for which the bank has been unable to locate the loan documentation and have stated the loan details.

I have tried attaching paperwork but won't let me for some reason.

Do people think I have a claim? Never thought about it till read on here that worth a go. I can't remember being offered the PPI and am sure I wouldn't have taken it if told about it. As they can't find the docuements is it there word against mine?

Thanks,

Daniel

Hi Daniel

Can you recall how long ago you taken the loans out?
Not that it matters, but if you do not have hold of the loan account numbers, you can check bank statements which may enclose the loan number from when you were making the monthly repayments.

So if you bank online and still with the same bank now - where you were paying the monthly payments, this may allow you to go back to about 2002.

Have you actually tried by calling in directly into the branch?
If not then do this by giving your bank account details and they can try tracking down the account numbers this way.

The only other option would be to request a Subject Access Request (SAR), they must comply to this and have 40 calendar days to send all data held on all accounts you've taken out with them, however there is a one off payment request for this, you enclose £10 cheque or postal order, there is a full SAR letter template below if you want to go this direction, please be aware though they may only go back to mainly the last 6 years, but some will hold data for even longer.
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475553

So then as long as you have your reasons you can continue to make a reclaim by completing the reclaim questionnaire as on stage 3 below, send to the ones responsible for selling you the account, head office or complaints dept, they normally have 8 weeks, but will let you know if they need more time, some have been give more time by the FSA due to backlogs.
Keep copies of the completed questionnaire as well, good luck.

Hi there
Do you mean the account was set up by CFI or Lloyds? cheers just making sure.

If you need to get in contact with lloyds....
customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

antonio.osorio@lloydsbanking.com

Are you sure the CFI company are still active?
If your not sure, you could contact the FOS customer query line, explain you are trying to contact them but have not heard anything, so wondering if they have any contact details of them, they should be able to confirm, good luck.
