ok, so i might just have to start tearing my hair out soon. i am still waiting for a pack from the fscs (did my initial enquiry 7 weeks ago) and was told 5 weeks ago that my pack was on its way.
its still not arrived, so i just called again today and was told by someone at deloitte that the fscs are adapting their claim forms and have instructed them not to send any more forms out until they have received the green light. this process started a couple of weeks ago (why i wasnt told this the last 3 times i rang is a mystery) and it is likely to be "a week or so" before everything starts moving again.

Just a quick update on my MBNA CC case.
7 days ago I emailed the CEO of MBNA regarding my case which has been on the go since May 20th - nobody at the "Customer Advocate Office" could tell me what was happening or even if the case had been looked at - and I had a reply 2 hours later saying a Claims Manager would investigate and get back to me in 7 days with an update/resolution.
Well, I just phoned the helpline and asked to speak to my appointed Claims Manager and was told he is away today and they weren't sure when he would be back this week, and he hadn't done anything with the case as he was still awaiting data and figures. Now this could be a good sign and they are having difficulty calculating the huge figures involved (unlikely as my monthly PPI payments ranged from £5-£10 from 2000 to 2003). Sorry to be so impatient, but I read of other MBNA clients getting "upheld" letters from May and June and wonder why mine is taking its sweet time.
Congratulations to those who receive nice letters this week - here's hoping I will be one of them0 -
If you didn't understand what PPI meant and still took out a loan or mortgage, you're a moron.
I was 18 and unemployed when I took out my first loan and needed it to buy a car to get to a job I had been offered.
I was told I couldn't have the loan without the insurance, and being desperate, I had to say yes. I didn't know what PPI was nor was it explained to me.
Just that I must have it.
Now, am I the moron for accepting (as I wanted to be able to work and the job was 30 miles away), or is the greedy sales person the moron for lying and telling me that I had to have it to be accepted?
Answers on the back of a postcard, and I'll let you know in 16 days. If it is upheld, then it wasn't me
I would imagine that based on the number of upheld complaints, you will find that we were not the morons and in fact it was the fat cat bank executives that were setting impossible targets for the bank workers to achieve, which basically boils down to an industry wide major 'Ethics Fail' at all levels.I'm a secret crime fighter0 -

Exactly.
I would love to know Dawn's thoughts regarding the underhand addition of PPI on Credit Cards following telephone conversations years after the accounts were setup.
HSBC refunded mine instantly. Card setup in 2006 with no PPI, phone call in 2008 regarding my credit limit (no mention of PPI or what it was on the call recording), so bank operative 'conned me' (and there is no other word for it) into having something I didn't want or need.I'm a secret crime fighter0 -
Hello,
Helping someone can give some advice please.
I knew I had an old loan but not sure on any details. I wrote to Natwest requesting some information (I wanted my loan documents to see if had PPI) They have written back saying they are unable to provide copies of the loan agreements. They also say I had three loans with Natwest which did have PPI but for which the bank has been unable to locate the loan documentation and have stated the loan details.
I have tried attaching paperwork but won't let me for some reason.
Do people think I have a claim? Never thought about it till read on here that worth a go. I can't remember being offered the PPI and am sure I wouldn't have taken it if told about it. As they can't find the docuements is it there word against mine?
Thanks,
Daniel0 -

Hello There,
You can start a complaint if you have your account number/ Numbers. If not you may need to do a SAR request 1st which will cost £10 and will give you all the information held on yourself by the bank or CC company. Or if you still bank with them, drop into your local branch, they will have this information
Its easy to do yourself, so i would avoid a claims company.. You can do the complaint over the phone or via letter form, its up to you
to get you started, Look here for info and reasons for being miss-sold your ppi
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/rec...nsurance#step2
Once you have had a read though and have your reasons. You will need to fill in a consumer complaints questionnaire. Which I would download, have a read though and familiarise yourself with the questionnaire and its layout. The questionnaire can be found here
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/rec...nsurance#step3
the main info you will need to complete the questionnaire is:- Loan account number/numbers OR CC account number/ numbers
- start date
- finish date
- and your reasons
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.u...PPI-forms.html
then complete the form and send it off. If you ring your bank or CC company they may have a ppi complaint line and can start your complaint for you over the phone but id get as much info ready before phoning them. If you start a complaint over the phone, they will ask the reasons why you felt mis-sold so have all the information ready and be prepared.
simples, hope that may help, good luck:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim
