hi all,had a discussion this afternoon with a high up manager at the ppi claims LLOYDS tsb, said i had put in claim 6th may and not had a reply from my email 3 weeks plus to ceo.He got back in touch and went bthrough why things taking so long,i told why i was claiming ,1 i have had a pre existing illness for 37 years and was never asked, also have been self employed for 16 years and according to him ,that one does not stand,he said we treat self employed as employed, --is this right??i was led to believe that Lloyds ppi claims, being self employed was not covered, does anyone have any terms and conditions for them possibly from 2002,so i can check this out,and also has anyone won with this one on being self employed,my son has a self employed case he is taking up with them and will be really dissapointed if this is the case,as well as myself.
Thank you all for your marvellous work, apparantley i have now being told it could be up to the end of September now,and i put mine in on the 6th of may 2011.
Thank you all
Hiya
This is why I will not communicate with them on the phone, in case they try to twist and turn things, but the point here is, even if they treated employed and self employed the same - it may not have covered you anyway, some will and others will not, however I will try to have a dig around for the policy details on this for you if I can.
You do still have good reasons here and in regards of pre med conditions they will not pay out if you were to try to make a claim due to this on - on those conditions.
I would therefore make a point that this policy was not sold in you're best interest as well.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Trish I am having some trouble trying to seek out the details of the PPI policy, and wouldnt surprise me if Lloyds have taken them off google search, but I understand the T&C's stayed the same for years, but if you email Lloyds they may provide them to you by email or by hardcopy post. x;)
I will keep trying though. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi irnbru the way you see it is always going to be different from the banks, you brought the policy you know what's what, the bank on the other hand will do anything they can to weasel out of paying what you are rightfully due
Hi,
Have phoned company and asked if they had recordings/transcripts of phonecalls from made by us, they don't.
I asked what they had on file and they said at the time, the advisor made "system notes" I asked if I could have a copy of them, to which he agreed. When I pressed if they had anything else on file, he became a bit furtive - So, I am going down the route of an SAR, just to see what exactly they do have.
But, I think probably it is going to come down their word against ours and they'll most likely win!
Will give it a go anyway, I feel like asking them whether advisors got commission for selling of PPI, (as my husband was definately given the hard sell) but I can't - can I?
Thanks to everyone for all response, they are most appreciated.0 -

Hi
After my win on Sat (only a week after posting my letters!)and it already been credited to my account, I have been in every drawer available and have found 2 letters from Black horse finance, thanking me for paying off my loans (first Sept 2005, second Nov 2005) I have the account numbers on the letter and have found payment amount through experian but I dont know if i paid ppi, so my question is do I just put in a claim or do I spend £10 x2 on a sars?
Thanks

Hi Lisa
If you contact them by phone or email, give them the account number details, ask them to confirm if any PPI this should save you £10 on a SAR then, because just as long as you have the account numbers and your reasons you can continue to make a reclaim.
However if you do decide to SAR, enclose both account numbers on the same request, £10 cheque or postal order will cover for both and for infact everything you have taken out with them.
There is a SAR letter template below if you want to use that one, good luck.
