    Hi

Ok, no upheld letter today but I emailed the bank over a week ago with no reply so sent a chase email on Thursday night, just got a reply to say cases are being dealt with in date order (which can't be true due to some success that have been posted recently). Anyway it also says my case is currently being assessed.

How do I take this response. Good or bad??

    Anyone got any thoughts.

    Thank you. :)

I think if it's not been rejected yet emma hopefully you should be alright.

Thank you Di. I thought a polite but firm email wouldn't hurt so I sent it and 2 hours later I had an email from Matthew Brandrick, a Case Manager in the complaints dept, who said he has been asked to handle the case and will get back to me within 7 working days but that I can contact him if I need an update before then.
    I will keep you updated.

    Hi

Thanks for letting us know, and the best of luck x;)

Hi, we did agree to the PPI that is something that we can't argue with, but my husband feels that he was pressurised into taking PPI (having never done so with any other loan etc)and he was led to believe that this would help secure loan. Which we needed at time, His recollection is different to that of the company, we are trying to figure out a way of disproving what they are saying!

Hi irnbru the way you see it is always going to be different from the banks, you brought the policy you know what's what, the bank on the other hand will do anything they can to weasel out of paying what you are rightfully due

    Hiya

I think like most on here and through experience, hopefully this means a good outcome.
Keep at them and any problems ring the FSA who "may" chase them up on you're behalf if you request for this, good luck.;)

hi all,had a discussion this afternoon with a high up manager at the ppi claims LLOYDS tsb, said i had put in claim 6th may and not had a reply from my email 3 weeks plus to ceo.He got back in touch and went bthrough why things taking so long,i told why i was claiming ,1 i have had a pre existing illness for 37 years and was never asked, also have been self employed for 16 years and according to him ,that one does not stand,he said we treat self employed as employed, --is this right??i was led to believe that Lloyds ppi claims, being self employed was not covered, does anyone have any terms and conditions for them possibly from 2002,so i can check this out,and also has anyone won with this one on being self employed,my son has a self employed case he is taking up with them and will be really dissapointed if this is the case,as well as myself.

Thank you all for your marvellous work, apparantley i have now being told it could be up to the end of September now,and i put mine in on the 6th of may 2011.

    Thank you all

Thanks for such quick responses - Sorry I don't understand if its the FOS that are saying he should accept the offer isn't that the ombudsman? Or do you mean just tell them you are not happy and see if they give you any more advice. What happens if they side with the bank? Where can they go next?

    Thanks again.
    Sorry for the confusion!!!.
It looks like your case has been heard by an adjudicator,if you are not happy with what he/she has said, you can ask them to escalate this to the ombudsman, so ring the adjudicator and ask why the offer is so low for the reasons you gave in your last post and what do they advise.

Thanx for that Cappo,as just a little worried ,as Graham one of the big cheifs at LTSB said they class self employed as employed, making me feel that the claim would not stand, have been looking for T & C's for lloyds insurance PPi,but could not find.
He also said that its taking so long as they dont just hand money out on a plate, i said i realised this ( but 16 weeks )and have been told today they had not even started mine, was i think a bit of a joke.Hope now i've spoken to a higher manager,i might get the ball rolling.

    Thank you
