You can, that is what I did with one of mine and it worked.
The SAR request costs £10 and they have up to 40 days to reply with the information.

Thanks for that IanC, I have about 7 responses denying any knowledge. I can't find £70 at the moment so will contact credit reference agency as a first port of call and ask for information to be removed.
It all seems like a game of cat and mouse.
stay well

Hi there, i recently withdrew £1000 from my account, but on checking my statement, the teller has added £1000 to my account instead of withdrawal, therefore there total will be £2000 down, the £1000 they have given me, and the £1000 added to my account.
As it is the weekend should i phone their 24 hour hotline, thanks0 -

Hi there, they are not pulling a fast one, they cannot ask you to pay the loan back,i take it this still running?.Hoping somebody can offer me some advice!!!
I wrote to Natwest, enclosing a cheque for £1, requesting a copy of my credit agreement for my loan, in order to put in a claim for my PPI.
I heard nothing for 5 weeks and so wrote again, pointing out that they had taken my £1 but not send me any information.
This morning I received a letter from Natwest telling me that my loan agreement has been misfiled and they have been unable to locate it. Their record of the loan has insufficient detail for them to recreate the agreement.
The letter goes on to say that they are now unable to enforce payment of the loan should I decide not to meet my payment obligations, and that my default would be reported to the credit reference agencies as section 77 (4) only prevents them from pursuing this through the courts.
The PPI I believe I am owed is almost as much as the outstanding amount on the loan.... is it possible they're pulling a fast one here? What should my next steps be?
Any advice gratefully appreciated!
They can chase you for the debt but not through court, also your credit file will have a default registered.
Do you not have the account number for this loan? as this is all you need to claim a mis sell.0 -
You are welcome x.0

Hi
This may have been requested before, but my eyes won't let me read all of them, So apologies if this is a repeat question.
I have been with 'We fight any claim' to re-claim a PPI miss sell. This has been ongoing since Sept 2010. The company that I took out the loan with, is
no longer trading (liquidation). WFAC have said it now goes to 'Financial Services Compensation Scheme' I have a form to fill in, which is an Initial Enquiry Questionnaire. I feel after all this time and endless wasted phone calls to WFAC, that I am right back at the beginning!
Does anyone know how FSCS works? As it is compensation, does this mean I will get a smaller payout? Do they just pay a percentage of my final figure? (which is around £1500)
I paid WFAC their fee upfront (£245), But feel that because they had got their money, they could drag their feet. I found out about the company I had the loan with going into liquidation myself and told them! and now it being handed over to FSCS, so I really feel that WFAC have not done anything for their money. Plus their fee was based on me getting the full amount back. Would I be right in saying I could ask a refund of some of the fee?
Sorry about me waffling in! lol
