Emailed M & S at the weekend regarding the claim they upheld in one letter then said in the next they couldn't find any info that PPI was added.
M&S rang me twice this afternoon. When I returned their call the person who had left the message was busy and they offered to call me back after I finished work, Sure enough they called me and went through everything. They said it was to do with a claim number that had been added for the linked loans and the writer hadn't realized it was under a different reference nos. She said my loan PPI would definitely be refunded so not to worry. Phew!

Having similar problem with RBS crediting money to a credit card. They received my acceptance mid June but when I rang was told they have up to 28 working days, which in fact isn't far off 6 weeks. Why is so long needed?

Hi there, can I ask what your complaint was regarding your RBS credit card? Mine is a case of adding PPI without asking me (or one of those sneaky tick boxes which I didn't notice...). Just wondering what my chances are!:p

Having said that, at this rate I'll be happy when they respond to my request for information - first wrote to them 1st July then again recorded delivery and cheekier letter 18th July! Did you have similar issues with them?

Sorry for being a pest...;)

Hi
Rang LLoyds tsb today ,put in a claim 13th may, received letter few weeks ago stating, saying will now take further 8 weeks due to volume of work.
Anyhow asked how my claim is geting on ,and the guy was very vague, said they now have all the info,"no complaints received" dont know what this meant, but i should be hearing in the next couple of weeks, definatley within the next four weeks, have had my credit card for about11 years, and i cancelled the insurance 18 months ago,as i was not aware that at the time,i certainly did not ask for insurance as i have a chronic illness for the last 30 years, and cannot get insurance, and also self employed for 16 years, not only that this credit card was sent through the post to me,and i certainly did not want insurance, but thought it was just compulsory as it had a 15000 pound credit limit.
I have told them i want my money bank,as this was mis-sold,but lloyds will not give any info on the phone, the only thing he did say was,"if you do not agree, you can take to ombudsman, but we prefer you not to do that,as it is too expensive and more money for the bank to pay out"
Does this sound as tho i make get my payments for insurance refunded,
its been 13 weeks now,i would have thought if it had been no they would have responded quite quickly,Santander did.

Hello there Trish

I think you will be fine and if it was to be rejected then it would have done by now, the main of the banks have been give extra time by the FSA due to backlogs, but in the future you could also email to ask them for updates and copy the emails to the Chief Executive officer (CEO) as well for a quicker response back.

Customer.Care.Insurance@lloydsTsb.co.uk

CEO

The best of luck x

I was never told or explained the limitations of the policy - being self -employed and having pre-existing medical conditions. They made me a "goodwill" gesture but only went back 6 years. I had statements to prove the PPI that was paid dating back to the start of the card in 2003 but they wouldn't budge an inch. Decided that it was a fairly small amount so accepted their offer on 10th June. I think they said they received it 15th June. I make it their 28 working days are up this week but still not been credited to my account.

They did lose one of my FOS questionnaires which I then faxed to them. On the whole the PPI team have been reasonably helpful when you ring them but generally everything seems to take a while. I started emailing the CEO and eventually that seemed to get things moving.
