If you've got the loan agreement now the 6 years don't count, you can go back before that if you have the details:)
I cant believe that it was that easy to get the loan agreement number from our bank I could probably have done that with the other loans that we have had in the past too!0 -
I have just had two ppi claims upheld by cap one and mbna i also had a mortgage protection ppi with hsbc as of yet i have not enquired about that i took it out in 2005 i went back in 2007 as was struggling to survive during the meeting was told that really did not need the ppi me not being to bright i did not question it and duly cancelled it when the review of the meeting was sent to me it said i had decided that it was not suitable for my requirements which was a blantant lie was wondering if i have any grounds for complaint or was i sticthed up by that review ??? thanks0

Hi there
I would ask more about this on a new separate thread below, so this is not missed.
Dunstonh and/or MagpieCottage will have the answers on this one for you.
I have posted the new thread for you, remember to give it a title as well such as Mortgage PPI help.
Its still within the PPI reclaiming threads, so no worries, good luck.

They all show all show the same figures with no reduction of the amounts in question and the balance is just slowly decreasing towards the original loan completion date of Nov 2012
Ask your friend to get a breakdown of how they calculated the ppi redress, and if it is wrong then your friend can send this to FOS along with their complaint.0 -
Dizzywithmoney wrote: »Further update on this. If you remember we had the SAR rejected from Black Horse saying they couldnt find the details. I then e-mailed the ceo of Black Horse asking why the SAR had been rejected and got an e-mail straight back stating that they couldnt find the agreement number. Well we have internet banking and found out how to go back on my bank statements and I managed to find the amount and date of each month when this loan was paid but no agreement number next to it. So I e-mailed our bank (HSBC) and asked if they could find the agreement number for me on this Black Horse loan. I gave them all the details that I could. I sent this e-mail to them about Wed/Thurs last week and today HSBC have e-mailed me with the agreement number for this Black Horse loan. So I have now e-mailed Black Horse again with the said agreement number. Surely now they cant reject it again. The loan was taken out in April 2003 and paid off in April 2007 so it is this still classed as being within the 6 years? I had all but given up on this one but heres hoping!!!0

Hiya
Sorry your still waiting!
You could email and tell them your not happy with the customer service, and the way you have been treated throughout the last 7 months, and that you will consider contacting the FSA, not saying it will work, but it may help push them along a little.
I hope so anyway, fingers crossed.;)
Thanks for replying Di,
Yes I will give that a go and hope that it hurries them along!Do you think I should also mention about HBOS paying out? Or should I leave that part out? I will type the email now but i'll save it as a draft and send it in the morning after the post has arrived just in case I happen to get a letter from them. Wishful thinking!
Thanks to everyone for the fantastic support on here0 -

Hiya
I would write what you feel will help push your complaint, and if that means mentioning HBOS so there be it, no harm done.:);)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I was the same dizzy with hsbc,i could'nt believe it they even gave me the agreement number of a loan i'd forgotten about and the ppi account numbers, just hope they pay out as easily.:)0 -
I work in Financial Services and I personally think that there will be some very substantial fines handed out to these institutions by the FSA if they keep rejecting complaints that are later upheld by the FOS.
I imagine that a strike rate will be set and any companies that exceed the strike rate will be for the high jump.
Ie, no more than 40% of rejected complaints must be upheld by FOS.
Afterall, the FOS is drowning in PPI reclaims at the moment, just because the banks are fobbing people off.
My money is on Capital One getting the first £££££££ fine.
The banks etc could do with a Royal kick up the !!!! IMO.I'm a secret crime fighter0 -
Hi Di et al
