PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Well well well, I wasn't expecting that!
I only emailed Lloyds last Friday, given some details from my old address, the approx years when the loans were taken out.
I had requested for the loan account numbers, and they got back today, however PPI was defo sold with them because then they stated it was all part of the loan, I do have some details but not a great lot, so am hoping they will be able to investigate on these ones now.
But............
for them to find these account number details, that does tell me they still hold details of the loans.
Email received here.....
Dear Mr & Mrs,
Thank you for your recent communication addressed to the office of our Chief Executive Officer Mr Antonio Horta-Osorio. I have been asked to respond on his behalf.
Having checked our records I can confirm that you have a further two loans that closed in 1997 and 1999. All the other loans you have held to 2001 have previously been addressed. The loan account numbers are ******** and ********. However I’m unable to confirm any further information as these loans closed over six years ago.
You have suggested you have paperwork relating to these loans. Should you wish to raise a complaint please forward you full complaint letter and a copy of any relevant paperwork that you hold to assist us with any future investigation.
Yours sincerely

Very similar to the response I got from M&S for a 5 year loan that was closed in 2004. They say no records of it so no PPI, unless I can prove differently. I had the account number. Surely that is not that long ago to dispose of all the records. Unfortunately I had a good clear out of paperwork a few years ago so do not have very much info.
I have sent a SAR to see what they have. Is there any hope as I am sure I had PPI.0 -

Hiya
With my SAR I didn't seem to have info on those actual loan accounts, but when searching through an old box, I came across details of a loan taken out in the both dates above, and details of PPI, so hopefully that is sufficient enough.
I bet M&S will have details held on microfiche, they don't always confirm as such unless a complaint have been made.
However, I understand that someone over at LB website is more or less the same position as us were successful, with just having the loan account numbers from loans taken out in the early 90's, but it was resolved through the FOS, but the only problem is they are going by an offer as they state they do not have all the details going back that far.
I would defo give it a go, and you most highly likely did have PPI know in M&S.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Evening all,
CONGRATULATIONS to all that have been successful lately :j:D
No progress with my complaints, i'm still waiting and getting more and more impatient everyday. It's been 7 months now since I submitted my complaints to Halifax. I've emailed the CEO untold amount of times, he very kindly passes my emails on to Halifax Customer Services. Only for them to then ring me but won't provide me with any updates as to how my complaints are getting on and how long until they deal with mine.
I thought people were saying on here that HBOS are following Barclaycard by paying out to all complaints that were on hold?? Don't seem to of heard anymore.Thought it may be too good to be true
I now think it's time again to email the CEO, I haven't emailed him for nearly 2 weeks! Lol. I'm really hoping that he will get fed up with me and tell Halifax to sort out my complaints asap to get me off their backs! Yeah I wish!!
Any advice what I can put in an email to him this time? Should I ask about the rumour that HBOS are meant to be paying out all complaints that were on hold?
Thanks in advance0 -
Hi there, this does look as though the ppi has not been taken off!
Hopefully Marshalka or robbedof will help you with this,as i dont see how the bank would uphold but not reduce the balance of the loan!!.
This may sound daft:D but has your friend got a breakdown of the account after the "win",as this should be asked for, then you will see what they have done,as the redress should have taken the ppi off the account,so if they say it has, then you need proof of this,i would check this first before you go to FOS as the waiting time at the moment is 1 year plus!!.
Hiya - spoken with my friend, checked the statements from the beginning of the loan in 2005 to when the PPI should have been removed in 2009 to the last "amended one" sent by the bank in June 2011. They all show all show the same figures with no reduction of the amounts in question and the balance is just slowly decreasing towards the original loan completion date of Nov 2012 :mad:0 -
HSBC amd Halifax
I wasn't going to have a shout, merely ask for an update.
I figured waiting until 16 weeks would be the best plan.
Which is virtually 31st August as it happens.
Hi ian, hsbc are one of the slowest banks out there,i'm still waiting to hear about the 2 credit cards and 1 loan from them i've had being "investigated" since last october, not heard a dickiebird, don't know if it's going to be upheld or flushed down the loo, still it hasnt been rejected yet. have another 5 i've had an update about and told you guessed it,end of august.:)0 -

Hiya
Sorry your still waiting!
You could email and tell them your not happy with the customer service, and the way you have been treated throughout the last 7 months, and that you will consider contacting the FSA, not saying it will work, but it may help push them along a little.
I hope so anyway, fingers crossed.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

So the next thing I have done is e-mail the CEO at Black Horse to see if we get any joy from him! If not then it will be the Equifax thing that Cappo (I think it was him) suggested we do!!!
Further update on this. If you remember we had the SAR rejected from Black Horse saying they couldnt find the details. I then e-mailed the ceo of Black Horse asking why the SAR had been rejected and got an e-mail straight back stating that they couldnt find the agreement number. Well we have internet banking and found out how to go back on my bank statements and I managed to find the amount and date of each month when this loan was paid but no agreement number next to it. So I e-mailed our bank (HSBC) and asked if they could find the agreement number for me on this Black Horse loan. I gave them all the details that I could. I sent this e-mail to them about Wed/Thurs last week and today HSBC have e-mailed me with the agreement number for this Black Horse loan. So I have now e-mailed Black Horse again with the said agreement number. Surely now they cant reject it again. The loan was taken out in April 2003 and paid off in April 2007 so it is this still classed as being within the 6 years? I had all but given up on this one but heres hoping!!!0 -

It's disgraceful dizzy isn' it,this is what the fsa need to be sorting out, the banks have all the information they just don't want to part with it,they really are not playing the game.0 -

If you've got the loan agreement now the 6 years don't count, you can go back before that if you have the details:)0
