great to hear how everyone is getting on - good luck and keep pushing!!!

called the fscs yesterday - its been just 2 weeks since i sent my initial enquiry in about reclaiming ppi on a picture secured loan - they are still dealing with backlogs but seemed to think i would receive a letter and/or application form (if they think i have grounds for complaint or not) in a week or so.

does anyone know, are frontloaded ppi reclaims generally being upheld? im hoping my claim will be fairly quick and straightforward!!??!!

Front loaded ppi is the most mis sold and upheld of any ppi.
I dont think you will have a problem with this xx.

At last, i have managed to speak to someone from Norton Finance, we will send you a letter this week, we now have have all the details we need calls etc, so its squeaky bum time this is our big one
front loaded total £8614 put on top of existing loan, cover for 5, loan term 10.
i really hope this comes off and there is nothing on the recorded calls to get them off the hook, im sure they will try every trick.
    Ste.
this was paid off some 2 years in, we had a small rebate taken off the settlement but did not even get the cashback offer after 5 years, 8k for 2 years cover.

Hi there, your friend should have had a breakdown of the win, not just a statement, this would show what they gave back and what they did with the ppi.

Ask your friend to get a breakdown of how they calculated the ppi redress, and if it is wrong then your friend can send this to FOS along with their complaint.

Hello - Do you mean that the bank should have written to my friend saying….
    • We have paid you £5K (which you should have paid them back, but the bank didn’t tell you to do so).
    • We have taken the remaining PPI off
    • We have taken the loan amount back to £20K
    • You have agreed to keep over paying £523.73 per month
    • This will reduce your term to…..
If yes, then no they didn't
