Dated the 7/7/11 (so exactly 4 weeks after the last one) stating that as I know (I didnt know at all) my account has been taken over by Barclay's they have until 31/8/2011 to sort out my claim. Do you think then that as I sent this off before this dead line date with Barclays that they will be paying up - Egg closed my account but I didnt realise it had been taken over by Barclays!!!0

Got another claim sorted and completed tonight ready to go recorded on Monday. BOS credit card claim, finally found some statements with the payment protection on it, it went back to when my OH got the card circa 2003, we cancelled the cover in 2009 as it was a waste of time and because there was a fair balance on it there was the extra amount of £30-40 each month, looks like an interesting amount using the calculator I had.
Will hopefully be hearing sometime next week from Clydesdale, 8 weeks is up on Tuesday but will probably get another letter asking for more time, either that or a rejection!
One more thing to check on which was GE Money, and going digging with spades, forks, drills and everything else that can break through mountains of paperwork to try and find the paperwork for it. Wish me luck for the morning!! hehe0 -
Hi Guys,
My husband took out a loan for a business. Self-employed, he was told he had to take the PPI or no loan, even though as the bank manager said at the time he wouldn't get a payout as he was self-employed! So that bit is clear cut, but then his business went bad, he defaulted on the loan, and eventually agreed to pay a smaller amount in full. Is there any point in trying for a claim?
Thanks in advance for any help ...0 -
