Just want to say thank you to klflosser. I emailed Ian O'Doherty (CEO MBNA) this morning regarding my outstanding cheque for £1500 and got a phone call literally 10 mins later to say my cheque will be posted out tonight and was very apologetic about the delay. Thank you soo much! :D

    Hi all!

Just wanted to let you all know that I have received a letter from the FOS saying that HBOS are going to make me an offer as a gesture of goodwill!

HBOS will apparently write to me, stating how they will calculate the redress. Then, I need to sign to accept this, and then they can send me a calculation.

I just want to thank everyone on this forum for your continued support, and questions. You've all been a great help! So yeah, thanks!!!

You would be surprised i am currently in the middle of a battle with LTSB to get them to confirm that i had ppi on my credit card they keep telling me that i don't have or did'nt have ppi on that card,i know full well i did, like yourself i don't have paperwork,i binned everything just before i knew there was a problem, i've had to resort to emailing the ceo, now he won't talk to me, they will lie to try to shake you off the trail, don't give up

    Thanks for this, Cappo...interesting reading.

I am at a loss as to what would have to happen to get the clout we need to support us in reclaiming what was wrongfully taken from us..but surely mounting pressure from people like us will bring about some change...?

Also, I may be cynical, but might we have had some "higher" input if this had been a general election year??;)

It's interesting to hear though citibird just how many people actually come onto the forums, this one especially as it with martin fronting it seems to have most exposure to the public, word is getting out there my woman, the banks are being slowly shown up for what they all are now

You are right, Cappo...the banks have behaved badly, especially in view of the huge bonuses paid out and the cavalier attitude to customers who are trying to get back their money. Now that there are forums like this one which people can go to for help and support awareness is growing all the time.

It also helps that Martin is involved in the media...keeps things in the public eye...there are a lot of terrible examples of banks delaying and downright lying!
