From the Cap One site
Brian Cole's career in finance began at the First Union Bank where he worked in commercial underwriting and portfolio management. He joined Capital One as a financial analyst in 1997, before moving to manage a finance unit in US Card. Later, Brian served as CFO for Upmarket US Card and then Capital One Europe, beginning in 2005. Brian became Managing Director of the UK business in April 2009.
Brian has a BA in Communication Studies from Virginia Tech University.
Just wondering if his communications studies are good enough to get him out of this mess ???:j

I just put this on the other side of this site (If you know what I mean) but are Cap 1 up to something? I was rejected - apparently I ticked the box and was sent terms and conditions and could have cancelled at any time, etc, etc, but today I have found out that they have reduced my balance by about £400. I dont use this account now, as its with an agency (my husband came out of work a while ago and we got into a mess, he is working now, albeit on redeuced hours again, but we are trying to climb out of this mess) and I had to ring the agency about something today and they told me that Cap 1 had taken this amount off my account but the guy I spoke to didnt know why!!! I did say to him though that if they paid me everything they owed me I would have been able to clear this debt in total!!!! Its not that big an account but its been open years!!!0 -
well.... filled out the form and has now been sent lets hope for some good luck0

personally i would sar them first as then you will have the relevant information to fill in the questionaire form, good luck.
Thank you so much for the advice cappo. I'm sorry if this sounds a bit dim but should I put in an sar for each account or can I just do one sar for all egg accounts?

Hi Dizzy, what do you mean "the agency" who are they.
If they have reduced your account by £400, sounds like they have re-paid you an amount. If the amount is not as you expected, tell Capital One.
Do not be afraid to hit Capital One hard, they cannot hurt you but you can hurt them. The posts today mostly about Capital One showing everyone that this is NOT a company to deal with. I think the most disturbing post was about the adjudicator who appears to favour Capital One. In view of the fraud, lies, false statements being made by Capital One, why would the adjudicator back them ???
Who can guess what I am thinking ???
Capital One is another can of worms to be explored and exposed, they have limited time left0 -

Hi TM, Firstly what I am about to say is of no detrement to you whatsoever and I am not picking on you.
Your comments are probably applicable to 90% of people who have been hurt by the banks. This what they want to hear as they know they can run rings around you and they will do.
PLEASE PLEASE remember that all the banks who mis-sold PPI's have committed MAJOR FRAUD, the likes of which has never seen before
If you committed fraud, you would probably end up in prison.
DO NOT GIVE THE BANKS AN INCH TO PLAY WITH, hit them hard and if you are right, you will win0 -

now your so close to a decision lauz i'd hold fire, with the wait at the fos you'll have a long time waiting for the adjudicator, only go to the fos now if you get a rejection.0
