Hi there and yes you can, if you still have the account number that helps and of course your reasons for being mis sold, go for it, its only a matter of completing the reclaim questionnaire as on step 3 below.
Complete and send to whoever sold you the loan, to their main head office or complaints dept, allow 8 weeks for a decision and keep copies of everything as well, good luck.

Hi,
First post on this forum and looking for advice if I have any grounds for a claim.
I previously took out a loan for £36k with First National (who later changed to GE Money) in 2004. Not long after taking out the loan I noticed that I was paying PPI and complained that I didnt ask for it.
The company responded by sending me a copy of the signed agreement with the PPI box ticked, I never tick these boxes since I have a very secure job but thought at the time I didnt have a leg to stand on.
Around 2005 my ex wife and I started divorce proceedings and I contacted GE Money as they had told me that all the PPI money was reclaimable (less an pro-rata sums) if the loan was paid off early. I was told I would be entitled to around £5500.
The divorce took some time to complete (2 years) and when we finally got to settlement and I went to reclaim the monies owed, GE Money then stated that they would only repay 7% as it was outside the 36 month window, I argued that we were in the 36 month therefore I managed to get back around £1100 (20%).
I guess my question is, was this acceptable and do I have any grounds for a reclaim for additional funds?
Regards

Hi All
Just a quick query.
My husband has an MBNA Credit Card which he has paid card protection insurance on - is this the same as PPI? If it is different can he still look at claiming as per PPI.
Thank you!0 -

Hi chris it just depends if you accepted this as a full and final settlement and ge money have the paperwork to prove that you did,it's a grey area as they did give you a refund of sorts, It sounds like nowhere near as much as you should have got,can you tell us a bit more about how you settled and we can all advise you a bit more0 -

Card protection insurance is ppi and yes if you have reasons for doing so you can put in a claim for missold ppi.0 -
Can you tell me why a "FORM OF CONSENT" would be with an application for ppi0

This was one of the unusually quick ones boycey, i first contacted them on 06.05.11 so quite quick, shame they arn't all like that, they just won't admit to me having ppi on my credit card.
So Lloyds TSB can get their rear ends in gear when it suits them then:rotfl:
