    Hi all,

I have been following this thread for a while but this is my first posting. I took out an unsecured Natwest loan, that included PPI and ended up defaulting on the loan. I am now paying back the loan in instalments following a charging order being placed against my home. Any idea if I will run into problems trying to claim back the PPI, as I'm worried they might try to enforce a sale of my house to recover the original debt.
I can't remember exactly when the loan was taken out but thinking it might be on the 6 year cut-off mark. Thanks for any advice.

    Hi and welcome

As far as I know it makes no different and your still able to make a reclaim on the ppi, however please be aware the refund may be used towards anything that is due to the company dealing with your payments on the account, but anything remaining plus interest is normally awarded directly to you.

You could try exanding on this question if you want to in case someone else have been through the same thing and will get back with their own experience, so below I have posted a new/separate thread (its still within the ppi threads) but you should hopefully receive more help and advice on this, remember to give it a title as well.
Hope this helps you, good luck.

    Dear (your MP name here),

RE: PPI False selling by Banks

I am writing to you, asking for an investigation into the current behaviour of the Banks who are currently employing delaying tactics and excuses to claimants regarding refunds.
I was under the impression that the High Court awarded in favour of the FSA and FOS.
The banks announced they were putting aside £millions to cover the eventual refunding.

I would now direct you to the website run by Martin Lewis http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com

You will see a forum dedicated to the mis-selling of PPI's and you will also see the struggle people are having with the banks, the worse being the Royal Bank of Scotland

It would appear that the banks really have no intention of refunding people for the fraud they committed. Infact, they are employing every possible tactics NOT to refund.

Not only is this not in the interests of the public, it makes a Mockery regarding our justice system. Of course, Barclays have stated their "no quibble" refund policy which everyone is waiting to see if it is actually true. So far as you know, they are the only Bank to offer this.

If the government are expecting £millions to be poured back into the economy over the next 12 months or so due to the expected refunds, as the public will spend the money, the current behaviour of most banks will tell you that is not going to happen. £7-£8billion would have provided an amazing kick start BUT UNLESS the banks behave in a proper manner, people will not have the money to spend.

Therefore, could you please look into this and report your findings to me. Thank you

    Yours sincerely

    Hiya

I would just write a simple personal letter of request.

    Just write something like this......

    Dear Sir/Madam

    Account number

I enclose £1 cheque/Postal order for the request of my Credit Agreement and I expect to receive this by 12 days.
The account number for this Policy is shown as above.

(You can mention that you spoken to one of the staff member's) on the telephone dated XX/XX/2011 who said that you were to request for this by writing with the enclosed payment if you want to).
    Keep it simple.;)

Not a problem hun, just write check to the banks name, for example:
Lloyds TSB Bank PLC, so in your case its probably EGG , although I would maybe ring them perhaps just to make sure if you want to.;)

    :beer:Well done :j:j
They should take any rebate you got when you took the 2nd loan from the ppi you have won.
Both loan ppi will be taken into account, when you get your figures post them on here and someone will check them for you.

    Hiya and well done!

I also just recently been successful as well also on my recent 2 with them, they do eventually send you a breakdown of the figures, as far as I can work out, if you taken out one loan to pay off the other, then anything rebated on the first one will be taken into account.

    Again well done!;)
