Yes it sure does! Thats an idea, I will include that in my next email, as i'm sure i'll be sending another one very soon!
Although like you say, hopefully it will be the last time I have to chase them up!
Cool, good for you.:T:T
Email them back tonight and say you just emailed them in regards of your PPI query and you just want to add that you will only accept correspondence in writing only either by email or your home address......prefably email.
They will be thinking "oh no another email, quick lets get them done with!:rotfl::rotfl::DThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Thank you for your reply and help so far. The card was first issued with Assoicaties who then changed to Citi cards and last year it was taken over by Opus. The account is still active as I still have an account open with Opus on this card and still use it.
Would Opus still have this original agreement? Should I send another letter requesting a copy of original agreement?
I have been reading on here about people having difficulty trying to get information from Opus about there previous agreements with Citi.0 -

Hiya, your welcome
Yes that maybe worth a shot its up to you of course, I did come across some details of OPUS below and assume its the same business.

Any problems, maybe the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) can advise on data issues, there is a contact for these below, I do suggest ringing them for a quicker method though as they may take some time to get back by email.
https://www.ico.gov.uk/Global/contact_us.aspx
When you write to ask for a copy of your agreement, just write a simple request.
Ask that they provide you with a copy of your agreement by 12 days (enclose account number) if you have this or as many as your personal details as possible if no account number).
(However as you already provided the payment the last time, maybe you should just tell them they have already received the payment, and you just require the copy of your agreement in relation to that account.
Good luck this time round.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi, I've been reading the forums and have tonight filled in my first questionnaire to see how it goes. Just wondered if you folks reckon I have a valid complaint? I have had a Halifax credit card since 2004 and daftly have been paying ppi on it. It always bugged me but I assumed it was condition of getting card. can't remember ever asking for ppi but got copy of application form where I have signed for card and it says I requested ppi. I have put on form that I can't recollect this either way. Thing is my job pays great sick and redundancy package. Halifax have given me a copy of terms and condition of account and the repayment cover conditions follow on the copy. It reads like its all one. It says we can cancel the agreement at any time but it reads like the whole agreement, not just the repayment cover if we decided we didn't want it? Not sure I'm making myself clear here. I feel we were missold because even if we had got copy of the conditions etc then on reading had we decided the policy was no good to us that the t&c did not make clear that we could cancel the ppi and continue with the credit card. Truth is I thought it was connected to the card but feel stupid now having paid it all these years. I honestly think if we'd read the exclusions and known that we could have cancelled the ppi and kept the cc account then we would have done. Can't say I was wrongly advised or pressured into it etc as I can't remember application. My complaint is not as obvious as others here probably due to my useless memory , I have had to put can't remember for a few answers but anyway I was just curious to see what you experienced posters thought? Should I be hopeful or save myself the postage and not bother sending it? I reckon I could've paid about 2000 over the years
Thanks for all your advice here, even if I don't have grounds for complaint you have taught me to be more careful and saved me 300 this year as I have just cancelled the ppi.0 -

Hi matty it still sounds as if you have grounds for a claim credit cards are not quite as straightforward as claiming for missold on loans i have 3 in, two got rejected as being non advised sales the onus is on you to prove why the ppi was unsuitable as Di says it,s only a stamp though, put it in and see what happens they can only say no0 -
