    Hi,

Long time read first time poster :)

Been reading lots on here about the PPI reclaims and thought I'd have a crack at natwest since I took a loan with in 2008 for £10k and I'm paying back £18k over 5years £6k is PPI, I used the template from here. submitted my letter to Natwest on 9th May 2011

I wasn't asked if I had employers benefits i.e I get paid full for 6months then half pay for a further 6months, when I was sold the loan I turned up at the branch to pay a cheque in from unwelcome finance and they offered me a loan, the branch was half hour away from closing and I remember them telling me I must take the PPI out in order to secure the loan, I have a feeling that natwest are going to try and not refund me the PPI back.

Got a letter on the date 23rd May 2011 from RBS stating the got my complaint and will deal with it in 4 to 8 weeks from when they received my letter, I'm just wonder how long after people received that letter did they have a full reply from them and is that 4 to 8 weeks ticking from the date I handed then the letter at my local branch ?

    Hiya

Crikey they don't ask for much do they?:mad:
Honestly yet another stalling tactic I expect.
When they sold you the account they should have held details of you, maybe turn the tables on them and tell them as a bank they should hold your status details on microfiche, as these are taken into consideration when they sold you the account.

    Good luck.

Thanks Di, would you think there is a chance I could be successful in reclaiming from natwest,

I'm also claiming back from unwelcome finance to but I'm using an agent as I had loans going back pre 14-01-2005 these guys seem to think I'm owed £4524.28 plus interest going back to 2003.

    Hiya

Yes personally you do have a good chance, they should have made the product optional, and not been told it was part of the loan or to be accepted for the loan, that is so wrong and misleading of them.

Please keep us posted on your reclaims, that will be cool, cheers :)

  • Hi I am new to the forum and would like some help with regarding Citi/Opus. Basically I had a credit with citi which then changed to opus card. I had ppi with citi cards but cancelled it in 2009, but never made a claim to get charges back. I don't recall sigining any agreement for this payment protection charge every month and can't find any agreement. I do think it was made over the phone, but can't be sure on that.

I sent off to opus for a copy of sars documents, which over the last few days I have received 3 large envelopes of stuff from them. They also sent copy of terms and agreement, but not a signed copy of original agreement which i requested. The letter states as follows.
"1. A copy of the original terms and conditions of your agreement, including the original interest rates, applicable at the time of your application.
This copy agreement does not include the signature box, signature or date of signature as in accordance with Regulations 3 (2)(b)(ii) of Consummer Credit(Cancellations Notices and Copies of Documents) Regulations 1983: we are not required to provide them."

Basically at the end of the letter they said " we will not be entering into any further correspondence with you regarding the requirements relating to the provision of a copy agreement"

Is this correct and are they not legally obliged to provide me with original signed copy?

Today I checked through file I have with them and found an agreement with Associates that was the original credit card company I took out this card with. I do believe they were linked to Citi cards. This agreement was not signed by me and has no mention or ticking of box for payment protection
Can someone help with what to do next.

    Hello there & welcome

If the account is no longer active, then they may state they no longer hold the original copy or even have a copy at all, although they are supposed to keep data at least going back the last 6 years.

I am aware if the account is still active then they must or should keep hold of the original copy of the agreement.

I am not sure who they are linked with but whoever set up and sold you the policy would be the ones responsible for mis selling you the ppi.

Details on how to make a reclaim below link, step 3 a reclaim questionnaire, complete and send to the head office or complaints dept of whoever sold you the policy, keep copies and allow 8 weeks for a decision, good luck.

    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    Evening all,

I'm about to email the CEO of Lloyds, again! I've emailed him quite a bit recently regarding my 5 PPI complaints with Halifax and Black Horse that have been with them since December 2010. Every time i've emailed him, he has passed my email on to the relevant parties. But i'm still not getting the response I want, such as a timescale for instance. Wondered if anyone could give me an idea what to write in this email to get the right response or even possibly speed my complaints up! I'm sure we'd all love to know the secret to that but i'm sick of writing the same email over and over again!
Any advice would be much appreciated ;)

    Many thanks :)

    Hiya

    Its a drag isn't it?

Have you tried telling them that your aware of others have been dealt with and have been with them way after you complained, tell them if they were dealing with them in date of order then this have not been the case.
Just a suggestion really but maybe tell them you have personal issues that need dealing with urgently and will appreciate they deal with your matters for as soon as it is possible.

    Good luck once again.;)
