    Hiya

    Its a drag isn't it?

Have you tried telling them that your aware of others have been dealt with and have been with them way after you complained, tell them if they were dealing with them in date of order then this have not been the case.
Just a suggestion really but maybe tell them you have personal issues that need dealing with urgently and will appreciate they deal with your matters for as soon as it is possible.

    Good luck once again.;)

Yes it is a drag, seems to be going on forever. Some poor people have been waiting even longer than me! :(

I've just sent him an email saying that i'm aware of others been resolved and mine have been with them a lot longer etc etc. I'll let you know the response I get.
Thanks for your help, it's much appreciated Di :T

On another note, I wrote to Barclaycard for my Dad a couple of weeks ago to claim back default charges on his account. He received a letter today saying they're going to refund all of it plus 8%! :j
Thats £730 and all it took was one letter!!
If only they were that easy to deal with in regards to mis-sold PPI!

Hi I wrote to mbna useing the first template letter, they wrote back without any info, but said I had not sent a cheque they never said how much they wanted so I sent a cheque for £1 they replyed in a two weeks I opened the letter one sheet of paper nothing to do with ppi
just telling me about (the act) 1974 saying they would not take me to court now or in the future, has any body else had this what does it mean?

    Hello there

I take it this was to request for a copy of your agreement which shows if PPI is taken, but they did not send you this?

However, just to say just as long as you have the account number and your reasons for being mis sold you can continue to make a reclaim without the need or requesting for paperwork, unless you wanted to make sure.

First of all the template letter you sent them was not to make a reclaim, but to request for a copy of your agreement, is that correct?

Some will do this as first stages, but you do not actually have to, as long as you know you were paying for ppi.
Sounds like they've sent you a copy of the terms and conds of the policy in my opinion.

To actually make a reclaim its a matter of completing a reclaim questionnaire as shown on step 3 below.

Hope this helps, good luck and ask for help if required.

  • ....waited a almost a months for anything in writing and then 2 come along at once! So here's my update: The first letter thanked me for my recent email to HSBC's CEO and assured me that my investigation was ongoing. The second was from the department handling PPI reclaiming again thanking me for my email and asking me to fill out a reclaiming questionnaire, also I noticed that there were 4 policy no's quoted on the letter, so I gave them a ring.
In fairness they were more than helpful, i explained that I'd already sent 2 copies of the questionaire so there seemed no need to send another. I enquired about the 4 different policy no's and it turns out that as I have had 4 loans with hsbc over a 15 year period they are looking into all of them.
The lady I spoke to gave me her name and informed me that she would now be dealing with my case and I will receive a written outcome within 7 to 10 working days!
    I have absolutely everything crossed:rotfl:

I will keep you informed but not holding my breath! Can just see what will happen, the CEO will forward my email to Halifax and Black Horse Customer Services, Halifax will ring me and tell me the same rubbish about they haven't dealt with my complaint yet and can't give me a timescale, and Black Horse will send me a letter stating the same. Thats what has happened everytime i've emailed him so far so I can't see it being any different. I'm going round in circles here!

I'm just hoping they will soon get fed up of me and speed up my complaints just to get me off their back :p

    Hi,

Long time read first time poster :)

Been reading lots on here about the PPI reclaims and thought I'd have a crack at natwest since I took a loan with in 2008 for £10k and I'm paying back £18k over 5years £6k is PPI, I used the template from here. submitted my letter to Natwest on 9th May 2011

I wasn't asked if I had employers benefits i.e I get paid full for 6months then half pay for a further 6months, when I was sold the loan I turned up at the branch to pay a cheque in from unwelcome finance and they offered me a loan, the branch was half hour away from closing and I remember them telling me I must take the PPI out in order to secure the loan, I have a feeling that natwest are going to try and not refund me the PPI back.

Got a letter on the date 23rd May 2011 from RBS stating the got my complaint and will deal with it in 4 to 8 weeks from when they received my letter, I'm just wonder how long after people received that letter did they have a full reply from them and is that 4 to 8 weeks ticking from the date I handed then the letter at my local branch ?

I also sent mine in May, but I suspect they will use the full 8 weeks RBS have a habit of using delay tatics. Give them a call just to check the status of your claim. Hope you get it sorted. :)

    Your welcome.:A
It makes you feel like that though doesn't it? going round in circles!!
Maybe you should also tell them you will only correspond in writing only by email and/or hardcopy post, so at least you have everything in writing then.

LOL well hopefully this will be the last time you have to chase them up, I do certainly hope so anyway.:D;)
