  • I have good news! WORST PLUS has caved!!!!!!! :D
It's taken a year for the ombudsman to review our case but they have now done it and informed First Plus that they agree with our case. First Plus has disagreed with the findings but has agreed to make payment as the ombudsman indicated (in other words the loan as it would have been before the PPI and full refund of all monies and 8% interest!). WOOHOO

The ombudsman also recommended a distress and compensation payment of £150. So we now have to decide whether to take the First Plus offer (without the £150) or continue fighting so that we get the £150 too! I'm unsure at the moment. The ombudsman thinks we will win in the end but I'm not sure how much longer I want this to drag on. Will chat to dh tonight and see what he thinks.

Only problem now is that I have absolutely no idea how to work out what they owe me!

Thank you so much to all who helped me over a year ago when I was preparing my case!

Brilliant news, looks like FirstPlus are finally being made to pay up for all their mis selling.
