    Hi Rosie

This was submitted in June 2008, I received a phone call from the adjudicator in September 2008, at the time I assumed it was fast tracked but he said no not at that stage, but he ended up with my complaint to deal with.

Lloyds did not agree with the adjudicators view, so this was passed on to the adjudicator that works closely with the ombudsman at end of Jan 2009 this year, it was only fast tracked at this stage due to some change of circumstances when my husband lost in Job in Dec where arrears occurred and other reasons which I am unable to write on an open forum.

My first case was 14 months from start to finish (nemo personal finance) not fast tracked.;)

Hope this helps, everyones varies and I have heard that more adjudicators have been taken on over the last few weeks to help get these complaints moving on quicker.

Thats really good to know i keep ringing the FO evryone couple weeks. Im an impatient little blighter but no wonder with so much money hanging in the balance. They said they were dealing with January 2008 claims now (non fast track) so hopefully only another few months. Welcome finance are my last ones to beat now and theirs is the biggest and most horrific. Ive tried to guess what im owed because of their high interests and the fact i had 5 loans in total (£4000ish at 40% ish interest over 6years plus 8% statutory) I cant wait to kick their cheating lying tush and be debt free..........il sleep easy for once in years

I have been claiming for a mis sold PPI from Lloyds TSB. It has been to court once when the Judge asked me to submit a statement as to the events of the day I visited the bank and took out the loan, which was several years ago but I have tried to recollect to the best of my knowledge. This has now been sent to the court and I have to go back on Monday 9th March. Lloyds sent a representative last time so I presume they will again. Can anyone give me any advise re court hearing. The PPI was mis sold on medical grounds as I was not asked about any pre existing medical conditions.

    Hi there

Good luck with this and hope it all works out for you.;)

I have never used this process but I expect many have on here, hopefully someone will post of their own experience on this for you on what to expect etc.
But if its down to pre-existing med grounds you should have a good case here, all the best and please let us know how you get on.;)

    I still have the conditions booklet, which does mention some aspects of being self employed. It states;

"If you were self employed and wish to ake an unemployment claim, your business must:
Have stopped trading and/or be in the process of being wound up; or
Be put into the hands of an insolvency practitioner; or
be in a partnership which has been or is in the process of being dissolved.
Your unemploymnt must start after a continuous period of six months self employment.
If two periods of unemployment are separate by three months or less we will treat this as one continuous claim but we will not pay or any time you were working between these periods. If two periods of unemployment are separated by more than three months, you must return to work for a total of six continuous months before you can make another unemployment claim."

It then goes on about searching for work with "job hunt advice books".

This doesn't seem to promising to me for a claim but I don't really know?

I would check this out here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

If any of this in the link occurs to you then there is no harm in complaining and trying to reclaim on this.

They have 8 weeks to respond in full and if not successful first time write to them again until they send you a final response, the final response should give details of how to proceed with the complaints if you remain unsatisfied, such as the financial ombudsman service (FOS).

However, it maybe worth a telephone call now to the FOS first who may also offer to do this on your behalf:
    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/contact/index.html

Explain your situation to them as you did in your post, and they should be able to direct you from here, or if not like I said offer to do this for you on your behalf.;)

If you do decide to complain yourself to the company, its best to post by recorded delivery as well, for your proof of posting and to check on the 8 weeks they have, you can track this down on the royal mail website.

    Good luck.
