Hi
I know that I definitely had PPI insurance with Nat West but cannot find the account number anywhere and they wont consider it without the account number. Is there anyway I can find out what it is? Also is it worth doing this if the judge's ruling is out tomorrow?0 -

Hiya
If this was loan insurance and you were paying the monthly repayments from the same bank account your with now, and bank online, this should allow you to go back approx 7 years, and the account number is normally shown next to the monthly repayment.
Hopefully it will be a decision in our favour tomorrow, but yes still make a reclaim.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Do i still need to fill out the questionnaire and also write a letter or do I just send them a letter, or do i do both questionnaire and letter?

Section E - I saw your post and Amersall's response - did you use the text he supplied to put in this section? My OH has also struggled with the 'Why are you now unhappy with the insurance' section. He's put in that he didn't want it (mis-sell reason), and it was never claimed on, but can anyone suggest anything else?
Section C.3 - my OH has stated something along the lines of 'I was unable to make the x payment in month x and was advised by letter that I was x amount in arrears'. He has also mentioned that a DMP was set up on a particular date, to encompass the loan amount. Is this okay, or has he explained too much?
Many thanks.
And by the way:D i am female.:D

Thanks amersall - apologies, I thought you were female, and I don't know why I put 'he', so I'm sorry if I've caused any offence!!!
In Section C.3 on the questionnaire, I was asking if it was okay to put in as much information as my OH had i.e. the dates and amounts of arrears, and whether he should mention his DMP. Another forum member has answered that and said yes, put it in, and mention he is still on the DMP too.
I actually have another question now about Section B.6 of the questionnaire (sorry) - this is an Egg credit card. Egg wrote to my OH in 2007, advising that the account had been terminated, and that they would no longer honour any regular payments set up on the account (incl, for example the card protection plan). My OH doesn't know whether to put in Section B.6 if the insurance is still running, if it was cancelled early (and put in the date of this letter), or it ended when the credit card account was closed (and put in the date of this letter). He has no further correspondence and was on a DMP plan well before that. What do you (and anyone else) think?
Many thanks as always - sorry to take up so much forum space. My OH is worried about the process and we're working through this together, so I'm posting questions as they come up.0 -
Hi all
I posted on here a couple of months ago with regard to my MBNA Credit Card PPI claim. After contacting MBNA, I now have a copy of my original agreement and have also been sent a list of PPI charges per month, from 2001 to 2008 (when i cancelled the PPI ).
I took the credit card out in my local Abbey National bank, and I have recieved a copy of the agreement that I signed.
There are 2 boxes next to PPI and it clearly shows I have ticked NO.
It was so long ago that I dont remember how I ended up paying for PPI, but the list of charges show it started straight away, although I didnt tick the yes box. ( Still with me? )
I take it this means that I have a right to claim ? I have read around the site with regard to this but am still a little confused.
1) - Is the next step to contact MBNA ( who the agreement is with now ) or do I contact Abbey National as they were the original party ?
2) - Do I send a copy of the agreement and charges list ? ( Or leave them to tell me if and how much they owe me )
3) - Can I claim interest on the charges ?
Many thanks in advance.0 -

Hiya
Hope your well.
Personally I would write to the ones that set up your account, if anything they will or should send it on to the correct dept for you, or give them a ring to make sure and I suggest to post by recorded signed for delivery as well.
You can send them a "copy of the charges if you want to", and if they uphold I understand they should also include all the interest etc.
You can make a reclaim by either completing the reclaiming questionnaire, this replaced the template letter on this site or write a letter in your own words, the questionnaire is below link of stage one.
Remember to keep copies of all you send and receive in case you need to refer to this again at some point, and and they have 8 weeks to give a decision, or they may write to ask for more time with the option of complaining to the FOS.
Send to the head office of if they have a complaints dept.
