    Thanks Di.

I will have to chance my arm a little as I can't remember the dates exactly. Plus I'm not sure how the FOS will deal with it as I have said in my claim daily care but I also had to go to work. I shared the daily care with my parents. Do you think that is enough to say?

    Cheers again,

    Sparky

Well between work and looking after someone is all time consuming, and even with sharing the daily care the time to fit in everything else is limited.
You should make them aware of the little time you did have to deal with other matters, things pushed to the one side for the time being.
    You should be ok.;)

  • Thanks, Di..you are a star!!

I am certain that many , ( like me) were reluctant to take action against the banks because they are SO big and hold so much power over us...in fact, they can just make tons of money from us and then use scare tactics!!

Am ready to have a go now!!

    Cheers :)

    Hi there

This one I will leave for PPITechExp who will I'm sure give you some good advice on this, I assume as well he or she will be here at some point today or tonight.;)

    Hi there.

Not sure I'm quite understanding what your complaint is? If u haven't accepted the offer and the case has gone to fos then they don't have to pay you anything until the outcome of that. If they have paid you by reducing the arrears on the loan then they are well within their rights to do that and it is within fos guidelines. You have a contractual obligation to repay the bank that money and so they're entitled to apply the redress to the arrears. If theyv sold the debt on it makes no difference whatsoever. However, if you are an IVA or any sort of debt management programme and can show you have priority debts then the fos may find its nt fair and reasonable to apply the funds to the outstanding arrears.

Not sure if I have misunderstood you or whatever just let me know! Cheers

Hiya, its NickyButch a page or 2 back.;) Cheers.
Edited, arh no worries as you have answered, it, take it its in regards of this one as copied and pasted below?

    Hi all,
I haven't replied to this discussion for a while due to a few things but my PPI complaint is in the final stage with the FOS.
NOW I see something BIGGER which the Adjudicators have ALL missed completely.

In October 2009, I had a complaint with EGG UPHELD and they paid my Insolvent Practitioner £ 2020.01 as a PPI refund ( £1516.00 and £504.01 interest) INSTEAD of £3797.97 & £551.30 interest.
I complained and went to the FOS.
Since then, Egg did NOT take off the £2020.01 from my loan, BUT THE REMAINING AMOUNT OF MY PPI was taken off my loan but they did NOT pay my IP this amount which is £2281.97.
They then ADDED £384.72 to my loan as accrued interest and then sold it on for collection.
My point is this : Egg have committed FRAUD in a BIG WAY and NOTHING has been done about it.
FRAUD meaning that the £2020.01 was paid to my IP (meaning £500 went to me) but NOT taken off my loan, IS NOT THEIR MONEY, but EGG SOLD IT ON TO A THIRD PARTY FOR COLLECTION. Totalling
£ 10,620.03, it should be down to £8215.31 with my PPI taken off.
A lot of mistakes have been made to my loan balance and Egg owes my IP £2281.97 since October 2009.
It is my IP to sort it out, they have been reluctant so far, but I have written to the Insolvency Service and they said it is my IP to sort it out. My IP will get back to me, but I fear that it won't be good news.

I am writing to the FOS stating this fact.
Egg said that the £2281.97 was my PPI rebate (which should have been paid to my IP as well) was used to reduce my loan balance prior to being outsourced for collection.
Do you think I have a case here ?
Do you think I would get £ 10,620.03 (the rest of my loan including the PPI of £2020.01) back to me ?

    Any ideas ?
    Any advice is great
    thanks

Thanks for the advice. I really do appreciate it. I dont no the first thing about claiming. My first loan was so long ago now (2001) Im concerned they might not have me on file still....I had to go to the bank actually the other day (TSB) as I had over paid on my loan which is now finished, but while I was there it was then that I actually found out about this.....I had no idea untill last friday I had PPI.....I never asked for it on my first 2 loans and I was goated into taking it with my last 1.....it was the lady helping me behind the desk with my other query that told me I had it and to claim it back but she said she could not give me any futher information..........so I'm only assuming now that its still on file as she new from looking in my account?????? am I wrong?????

I cant beleive how helpful your being....I have been on another forum for bank charges and people on there have been really nasty to me....they have been so terrible I wont go on there again...they have been bullying me because of my grammar and calling me names because I am on Income Support. Anyway a thought has just come to mind. When I took out my 1st loan in 2001 I never asked or was asked about PPI. I told the man who sold it to me I was having financial difficulties and wanted to go visit my father who was ill and he lives in Ireland, he was only interested in if I had been in full time work for the last 6 months then. I had luckily, anway I got the loan. But Im just thinking back. When I had my 2nd loan I remember only asking for another £500 because I still had £260 on my 1st and wanted to clear it. Yet I again was badgered into having a £1000 loan. He said because I was still having debt problems it would be benificial for me to have a little extra. And again they never mentioned anything about PPI then either....so am I to assume, when I paid off my 1st loan with the 2nd 1 would my PPI have stopped and started all over again????

  • Hi y'all, Can anyone help with this one please.

I have writtent to LLOYDS trying to claim for my PPI, I took the loan out in dec 2007 personal loan 7,688 and 2,828.15 fokr PPI, i had gone in debt recovery about a year into that, i have since been making a reduced monthly repayment.

I got a letter saying that if i accept, Lloyds will use the payout to pay for the arrears amount and any remaining will be paid in to my bank account which pays for my loan, and the 8% simple interest offered will be paid into my account.

This is their first and final offer they have said in their letter.

I dont know what to do.
