Hello there, I have been trying to get the standard letter to send off about my complaint about my PPI, but I cant seem to down load it and have no idea what im looking at as it wants me to install the whole thing.....is there any way some one could put the template on here so i can just hand write it instead...i dont like installing things onto my laptop when i dont no what im actually loading. Also I dont have the information from my other 2 loans only my last one...how do i go about retreiveing the information for my other two loans from 2001 and 2003...do i simply write to Lloyds tsb a letter asking for it as it was them who gave me the loan and PPI......thank you xx0

I am not knocking template letters, but if this goes to fos, then you will only have to fill one in again, if this does go to fos, you can telephone then with your complaint, and they will send you the forms to fill in. I and others have claimed with just a letter and sometimes a phone call.0 -

Hiya
At first call into your bank and ask if they could check your accounts for you, and ask if they've any details on your older loans.
Just a suggestion as well, this is how i retrieved my account numbers for the loans I taken from 2000 to 2001, when I had statements through the SAR request, the account numbers for each loan were shown next to the monthly repayments, but they could not provide me with the agreements as they are closed loans, so I have taken the plunge anyway (knowing PPI was added, as usual they always added it automatically to my loans), and they are currently dealing with them without the need of the loan agreements.;)
For a SAR though, although its optional, there is a template letter for this request, and you enclose £10 cheque or postal order, they then have 40 calendar days to comply.
Tweak to your requirements if you want to.
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475553
But otherwise ask in your local bank first, this may say you money of requesting a SAR.
With a SAR they should supply everything you have taken out with them, so with banking with them you enclose your bank account number on the SAR for them to supply all copies of everything.
Address to request a SAR here:
LLOYDS TSB BANK PLC
DSAR TEAM
CUSTOMER SERVICES
RECOVERY TEAM
CHARLTON PLACE C57
ANDOVER
HAMPSHIRE

Now in regards of reclaiming, the MSE reclaim template was replaced by a questionnaire, the Financial ombudsman service issued these for this purpose, and to save time later on, such as if you have to make a complaint to them later on, you keep a copy of the questionnaire you send to the bank to make a reclaim.
However, you can of course contact the FOS to send you Reclaim PPI questionnaire through the post:
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm
Or:
write a letter in your own words, I will add a link to a template to give you an idea, but if you can use your own words with your reasons and make sure you remember to enclose details of all the accounts your making a reclaim on.
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475623
Hope your able to open it, but you should stand more of a chance of being successful by using your own words, as its more personal to your requirements.
Then the address to make a reclaim to Lloyds here.
Lloyds PPI
Customer Care
Lloyds TSB Insurance
Tredegar Park
Newport
South Wales

Hope this helps, good luck.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I have received a refund offer from Nationwide. After about 5 letters, a recording of the phone call agreeing PPI, I found a few points to prove it was missold.
Super news I have been offered a full refund.... but the wording is a bit werid.... I have to sign an acceptance of offer...
" I am wrtiting to you confirm my acceptance of your offer to refund the PPI premuiums applied to my account. In addition, I understand interest will be calculated on each of these preiums based on the monthly interest rate applied to my credit card over the period. This interest figure will be calcutated upon receipt of my signedd acceptance, and paid for a max period of 28 days from the date of this letter and is in addition to the refund of the PPI premiums."
also in the letter to my they state that the calulations have been conducted in line with FOS guildines.
this is there 2nd offer, the first was 1 year of refunds.
What do you think??
Thanks for your help, Jeni
Sorry for spelling, keyboard and brain, are very worn out!!!!
Hi
If they have stated that the offer is inline with fos guidelines then it will be to put ou back into the position you would have been in had you not taken th eppi. If you want to be sure then just give them a call and ask them to confirm that this is the case.

Di,
Since I spoke to you last the FOS have reopened my complaint after firstly turning me down. I appealed their decision and said that due to exceptionally personal circumstances I had to deal with the daily care of a sick relative and that it was a fairly stressful time.
They have come back now and asked for more details like time periods and asking if I required any medical treatment to deal with the stress.
Are the FOS likely to want to see any records of this from my doctor or do they just take my word of the time period etc??
Any ideas??
Cheers,
SparkyHiya
Hope your well.;)
May I ask when the final decision was issued on this if you know?
Right I understand they will consider taking on cases if you had some personal reasons that delayed you making the complaint to the fos, for example, illness maybe yourself or someone close in the family that required your attention, or hospital reasons.
Saying that did Lombard actually enclose the final response which enclosed details of the FOS?

Hi again..back with more questions, sorry...
First of all, I am about to claim against Barclaycard...but I bank with Barclays, will there be any danger of them acting badly and closing my account?
Secondly, I told a friend of mine about this site, ( how much support is here..!) and she has a Virgin card and I wondered if anyone has had any success claiming against Virgin?
Thanks again..great help, for the first time in years, I feel like I have a chance to fight back!0 -

Hi there
Hope your well.
I am not too sure if they require any med notes as such, because I think they would have actually asked for them on that letter, think they just be asking as a procedure perhaps.
But I know it can be tiring and ongoing looking after an ill relative, and its difficult to concentrate on anything else.
I've been there with my dad up until he passed away, it did take a toll on the family.
Stick with it. X;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
They do have a lender code to follow to treat customers fairly, they should not threaten to close your account, but if they did ask for advice from the FSA and the Office of Fair trading (OFT), but I don't think it will be an issue.;)
I think there have been success via Virgin, tell your friend if mis sold then give it a go, good luck.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks Di.
I will have to chance my arm a little as I can't remember the dates exactly. Plus I'm not sure how the FOS will deal with it as I have said in my claim daily care but I also had to go to work. I shared the daily care with my parents. Do you think that is enough to say?
Cheers again,
