Hi everyone, I've been queitly following this forum with interest.
Sent my first PPI claim off to First Plus last month and waiting to hear back and found an Abbey Loan I took out 4 years ago with PPI misselling. Because Santander now own Abbey who should I address my complaint to?
Thanks in advance!! Great advice and support on here

    Hiya

That's good news then, now the next time you hear should be to let you know about the decision they made, but you can keep in touch with them every so often as well if you want to.
It can be difficult to predict a timescale, but it can be from this stage as little as 6-8 weeks or the longest if things get complexed over a year at worst.

Where some take a matter of a few weeks with an adjudicator, others can go on longer, it also depends on how quick the bank or if they agree with the adjudicators decision, if they do not, then its normally moved on to the actual ombudsman himself which is why it can take a year or over.
Hope yours is resolved sooner rather than later, good luck.

And you do not sound dim, its curiosity.:D;)

Thank you as always Di. My MBNA claim (the one where I clearly ticked the box that I don't want PPC and they added it anyway) has also been passed to the adjudicator today even though MBNA told me they have put everything on hold because of the court case.

Fingers crossed I should hear from them soon.

is it to late to still claim ppi ?
It depends on your reason for doing this. Look here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#checklist
for reasons, and if any apply to you then go ahead.

    Thanks for the advise again,

So basically if my husbands business went through a stage where he just couldn't get any work, the only way he could claim on the PPI is to dissolve the business.

Many thanks for your help again.
Hi there, yes and this stinks, the only way your hubby would be able to claim on ppi for unemployment, is for his firm to cease to exist, as he wouldnt be entitled to unemployment benefit as he would still be getting some work. so in effect he would not be "unemployed".

    Hi all,
Just been doing some online banking and was looking at my latest statement and there was a payment for £278 for ppi refund apparently. Nothing to say which of my 2 loans it was for and is no way enough money. Why dont Lloyds tell you what they are doing? This means I'll have to ring them and try and find someone who knows what they are talking about, (I wont hold my breath) If its for the smaller of my two loans it should be more than that as the loan was for over £5000. They never send any paperwork either to tell you how they have worked out your refund. Wish me luck in trying to find out what this is all about lol!

    Hi there

You can still make a reclaim, but if your reclaim is with a bank, apart from Santandar its possible it will be held up within the current Judicial Review, however there's a court case coming up which should last a few days I believe from 25 Jan, if your not aware of this matter then check this out on the FSA website, and also on the threads below which you may also find useful.
    http://www.fsa.gov.uk/pages/Library/Communication/PR/2010/153.shtml

Otherwise follow the link below to the guidelines of reclaiming, which takes you to the reclaiming questionnaire, this replaced the template letter on this site, complete and send to whoever set up your policy, head office or the complaints dept if they have one.
Keep copies of everything in case you need to refer to this again at some point.
They have 8 weeks to give a decision, but may ask for more time.

    Good luck.

    Hi there

Send to the ones who set up your account in the first place anyway, and they will send to the relevent dept for you, this was the case for one of my son's reclaims.
Good luck, please keep us posted, cheers.:)
